Based off of a real conversation I had the other night:

Damian getting explained new slang

Damian: *Sitting in a chair with Alfred (the cat) on his lap*

Duke: Dude, you have crazy aura like this.

Damian: ... Aura?

Duke: Like plus aura? Minus aura?

Damian: Is this a stat that I have to upkeep?

Duke: Sort of, it's just like if you do something cool or look cool you gain aura. If you do something embarrassing or something you lose aura.

Tim: *Enters the room* What's going on?

Tim: *Sits down on a broken chair and nearly falls*

Duke: See that was negative aura.

Damian: Thank you for the application of vocabulary. This would also be the same as he lost aura?

Duke: Yeah

Tim: Have you never heard of aura before?

Damian: As a concept, yes, but not as a slang term.

Tim: Really?

Duke: He says "very well" and "naturally".

Tim: You know, that's a good point.

Tim: Do you know what "rizz" is?

Damian: ... I know that it's short for charisma?

Tim: Oh boy...

I don't think that Damian would free animals from a zoo, but I do think that he breaks into the zoo to hang out with the animals. I think he'd understand that the zoo is often for rescued or injured animals and they can take better care of them better than he can. But he absolutely believes that he's built different and the lions will instinctually sense his chill vibes and hang out. He's right.

Fic idea/Writing prompt:

The batkids do the thing where they replace the faces in the photos in the manor with themselves but it's basically a turf war. Like there's a picture of Bruce as a kid and on any given day it's a different kid. None of them bring it up to each other, it just happened one day.

Like one day Damian noticed that a picture of Tim has Jason's head and then he starts looking to find that Jason replaced a decent amount of them and Damian decided this cannot stand. So he starts replacing Jason's faces with his own. And it just dominoes from there. The only one who hasn't realized is Bruce and the game is how many can they do without Bruce in particular noticing

The most baffling is Duke's commitment to the bit. Cus at least most of the others have fair-ish skin and black hair. Dick, Jason, and Tim all have light skin, blue eyes, and black hair to replace each other pretty easily. Damian looks pretty close to a younger Bruce. Cass, Steph, and Babs can just Photoshop the originals to have Just their face be changed. Duke, however, has "apparently" managed to skate by without changing anything but slapping his face on the frame. Everyone else is so confused how this works and then they notice that he's been slowly replacing the photos with the skin tones slowly getting darker before putting his face on it. Most of them nearly piss themselves laughing about it

Bruce only realizes when he sees that Dick's face has taken over Martha's face in the family portrait hanging over the mantle in the parlor. Upon closer inspection, Thomas has been replaced with an artificially aged Tim, and Cassandra's face has replaced his own

De-aging spell on the batkids but let me explain. They have ALL of their memories and skills, however, if they don't pay attention to it, they still act like the age they turned into

Dick sticking his tongue out at his brothers when he gets put in charge while Bruce goes off to work and Alfred has to make a shopping trip

Jason stomping his feet cuz Bruce won't let him go back to his safe house in Park Row

Tim whining that he wants an energy drink and Alfred firmly refusing because "That much caffeine may hurt you, dear boy."

Steph absolutely bouncing off the walls after managing to get her hands on someone's candy stash

Damian laying on the ground with his lil feet kicking behind him while he draws

Cass getting a semblance of a normal childhood for when she's this age, though she hides behind Bruce's legs when she's out and about with him

Duke making funny faces in the mirror for twenty minutes cuz he got distracted after using the bathroom

All of them running around on the manor property playing tag and ending up in a heap in the grass giggling

Batfam disorder/chronic illness headcanons that I haven't seen/seen enough of/I personally think are interesting to play with

Narcoleptic!Tim Drake who is tired all the time. No matter how hard he tries, he can't stay awake super well. The family finds him in the WEIRDEST places just taking a nap. In an alley mid-patrol, folded over on his motorcycle. Just laying on the dining room floor. In the bathroom half (but mostly) dressed after showering. Steph, Duke, Cass, and him are training one day and after one of them knocks him on his ass, he's like "Give me a sec." and within the span of 2 minutes he's out. They freak out for a second thinking he was knocked unconscious but he's just snoozing.

Kleptomaniacal!Jason. It's a little bit of a hold over from when he was homeless. He would take what he needed. After being adopted by Bruce it became less of a thing of need, but he chased the adrenaline. When Jason broke down to Bruce about it (scared that Bruce would kick him out for being bad), he sat Jason down and tried to figure out how to help since he had the means to buy anything Jason could have wanted or needed. They worked out a deal that instead of just taking it, he had to hide it in BRUCE'S pockets without B noticing. Before check-out, he'd always empty his pockets and ask Jason if there was anything he actually would want.

EDS!Dick. I know that it's a more common hc, but I'm an EDS-haver and I'm gonna project the fuck onto him. Dick being in some amount of pain all the time. Dick being hyper aware of how "normal people" move and what their limits are. He tries to keep himself within normal ranges since those are more supportive, but why can't he stand with his knees locked if it's more comfortable? Why can't he just pop his shoulder out a little to get out of restraints? He knows how to put it back in!

Obsessive compulsive!Damian who was raised to expect punishment if he didn't do everything perfectly. He knows that he's no longer in that situation, but trauma causes weird things to happen. He will pick at imperfections both metaphorically and physically. If he doesn't do something correctly the first time, he rushes to try again to make sure he does it correctly. It takes a lot of work to break him out of the habit of beating himself up over it.

Duke who gets chronic migraines as a result of his powers. You're telling me that he's going to Not get a migraine from Being light? What do you think the visor is for? He curls up in bed with black out curtains drawn while he waits to be able to move again. Alfred slips in with a bottle of Excedrin, water, and a light snack and just silently leaves after Duke groans in thanks.

Cass who gets vocal fatigue. She hates that it happens, but if she talks too much her vocal chords get TIRED. She still knows sign and it helps her communicate but it's FRUSTRATING. It's not that she doesn't want to talk, she just can't. It's tough on her physically and emotionally.
