We have emphasized repeatedly the importance of single leg training and how important it is to improving strength, stability and injury prevention. Here is an offloaded split squat knee drive using a @bosu_fitness BOSU. We certainly use this with our post outpatient rehab clients who have undergone total/partial knee, hip and even toe replacement. The key is alignment, alignment, alignment with this move. Maintaining a direct line from hip to knee throughout to reduce shearing forces on the knee while stabilizing the ankle and hip. This can be done with or without the weight to make it a calisthenic exercise. First video is a high plank with 2 way shoulder stepouts x 8 reps, the second is banded three way step outs x 15 each direction, and lastly is a superman (or superwoman) rollover to situp x 8 reps.
