This was an adapted version of Workout 8 from this year’s Dubai CF Championship. It looked like a fun one with some different movements I’d never tried before, so wanted to give it a go :)
The HSPU’s felt way harder than usual today - I could only string together 4 reps at the most, so there were a lot of breaks.
Flying push ups were fun! Had to really focus on staying tight and exploding out of the bottom position for the hands and feet to land at the same time on top of the plates.
Deck squats were cool, the KB had to touch the ground behind the head - then using the legs as momentum from the lying position, come forward into the bottom of a squat then stand tall, finishing with the KB touching the chest.
The A jumps were way harder than I thought they would be. Firstly the DB’s were awkward on the shoulders (and it HURT like a mother), and then to squat and jump straight onto the plates was a whole different hurt, especially with having to keep the DB’s steady with the jump/land lol. I stepped down on every rep.
Ring rows were good, arms were fatigued by this point. And the devil’s press sucked so hard. I was breathing heavy and sweating A LOT at this point.
