I was Re-rewatching HTTYD Homecoming and I noticed some details I missed when I was watching it before

Hiccup having a flashback of the snoggletog pageant he saw as a kid he almost has a little panic attack! I mean I assume that is what’s happening because of his body language.. you know more I think about it maybe that’s why he really doesn’t remember the Snoggletog pageants when he was growing up

But a couple minutes later in that same scene Astrid rubbed Hiccups back comforting him! Look at Hiccups smile before he glances away. Hiccup smiling and then glancing away is a cute little detail you really don’t notice the first time watching it until you watch it again

Another detail I enjoyed was Zephyr being protective of her little brother Nuffink! Zephyr maybe a little bit stubborn but when it comes to her little brother she’s always ready to make sure he’s safe!

This genuinely makes me laugh a little! The way Nuffink skips and Hiccup hanging upside down 🤣

How Hiccup and Astrid don’t even stop Nuffink they just both smile at each other like “he’ll tire himself out”

With how many times Nuffink hits his head… either ruffnut or tuffnut taught him that lol

I really wish the 9 realms was different. I think it should’ve been about Zephyr, Nuffink, and the night lights reliving their parent's glory while exploring new things about themselves. More ideas under the cut

Dart, hearing of her father's adventures, leaves the hidden world to have an adventure of her own. By pure luck, she lands on new Berk.

With Dart gone, Toothless starts sending out dragons to look for her. But more dragons are leaving, and not coming back. Is it trappers, or is it dragons returning home? (it's both).

Nuffink finds Dart on new Berk. Remembering his father's stories, he ends up befriending her.

With dragons coming back, Hiccup suddenly has his hands tied. He's now maintaining Berk, his family, and a sudden influx of dragons. So of course, he doesn't notice that his son is leaving later and later every day.

But Zephyr notices. She follows her little brother to see him training a dragon. She's more upset that he didn't tell anyone

Soon after, Pouncer and Ruffrunner show up, looking for Dart. One of them (idk which one. Maybe both) bonds with Zephyr

With all three of his kids and most of his subjects gone, Toothless takes matters into his hands and leaves the hidden world to look for them

Also Fishlegs x Ruffnut kids cause come on, it's an obvious choice

This is, like, very base level. If anyone is interested, I can plan this fully. I have ideas.
