In 1983, a Chinese comic adaptation of Star Trek: the Motion Picture was made, in the traditional captioned Chinese comic style. Though it appears different, the story is more or less that of Kirk, Spock, and Ilia.

The artist was Song Feideng, who also made a comic adaptation of Star Wars as well.
