Earthlings,
I have a couple ideas for other space-themed media crossovers with PHM (just hear me out okay?):
All Tomorrows: Grace makes contact with another ‘Alien’ species (could be Blind folk, the Colonials or maybe the Hand Flappers) but is horrified/morbidly intrigued by the fact that they used to be human
Koi Mil Gaya: Hindi version of ET where the main character’s dad makes contact with aliens using a funky-sounding soundboard
Dead Space: Grace finds the Ishimura and tries to salvage for stuff he can use (scientific instruments, food and whatever he can get his hands on). There’s one point where the Necromorphs try to jump Grace but Rocky ain’t having it and rolls into them like he’s bowling <Strike!>
Subnautica: The Eridians find a close by planet that can support life for Grace and– oh look theres a friend for him there too
I was writing a silly snippet but it turned serious lol. Enjoy some Ishimura literature.

The orange juice coated Ishida's mouth in a sweet aftertaste. At least it was cold... And aid the healing of his injuries, wherever they were hidden. Izukaya lacked the same warm glow without the alcohol. But alas being dedicated to his boxing career meant giving up such luxuries. Both him and the boxer across from him knew this.
"Mmm, you gotta try the karaage! It's extra good tonight!" Takamura grinned.
Ishida couldn't resist the fluttering in his heart at the sight. Why did this guy make him feel so jittery? Regardless of the reason, he thanked the gods this was a regular outing for them nowadays. Well, when neither was on their weight control. Aoki's noodle restaurant was fun yes, when they wanted to spend time with their gymmates but sometimes they preferred more one on one time. Maybe even oftentimes depending on one's definition of sometimes. The izukaya offered private dining rooms. Ishida popped the fried piece of chicken into his mouth and savored the ginger undernotes. Even the savory smell made his stomach rumble.
"Aaaah... you're totally right. It even tastes better after a fight man," he leaned back on the tatami mats.
"Which got a little hairy there, I would've dodged that counter if I were in that ring," Takamura laughed.
"Really now? Then why don't you go fight him?" Ishida retorted with a smirk. Takamura smirked back.
"Sorry but I don't have time to waste on guys like that," his gymmate went back to stuffing his face with udon.
"Yet you're here with me tonight."
Takamura paused. His tone went monotone opposed to the more silly one he'd used moments earlier.
"Don't put yourself on their level. Only reason you ate that counter was because you were dicking around," Takamura sat up.
Ishida grimaced. Yeah, he lost his focus for one second as he had spotted his mother in the crowd.
"Well... I know this isn't an excuse but..." He looked away. "My mother came to see the fight, and I saw her..."
Takamura's chopsticks clinked against the table as he set them down.
"Has she said anything since the fight?"
Silence filled the room until Ishida answered.
"No."
More silence.
"Pssshhh... forget about it," Takamura spoke up.
"What?"
"You're not going to get through to her," his friend said crossing his arms.
"How would you know?" Ishida's brows narrowed.
"She's stubborn as all hell, that's how."
Ishida's eye twitched.
"You got some balls saying that dude," he gritted his teeth.
"Look, you have your promise to the gym and..." Takamura trailed off as if realizing what he almost said.
"And...?" Ishida tilted his head as Takamura turned away from him. "Hey! What's with you tonight?"
"How much does the gym mean to you Ishida?"
Ishida blinked. "Well... if it weren't for boxing I wouldn't have the life I do now... especially at the gym... It's like a second home."
The faces of his gymmates, coach and Yagi, his father figure always calmed him down.
"Then why are you trying so hard to prove something to your mother? She doesn't understand you like we do..."
Ishida's mouth dropped.
"I know my mother and I don't have the best relationship... But I still love her, and she loves me. Part of me still hopes we can work things out. The fact she came to the fight at all proves it!"
Takamura stayed silent for a few moments before he took a drew a deep breath in. At last he finally faced Ishida again.
"I just don't want you to be dissapointed... You have us... You have..."
"I have what?"
"Ugh, you really are gonna make me say it huh?"
"Yeah, what else do I have?"
Takamura looked to the side and closed his eyes.
"Me."
Ishida's heart skipped a beat. So that's what that was all about? Takamura had funny ways of looking out for him not that it wasn't welcome.
"I appreciate you looking out for me man... I do, but I know my mother. She'll come around. All I ask is for your support in all of this."
Takamura opened his eyes again. They gazed at each other in silence. This time, a much more peaceful silence.
"Yeah."
"Here, the gyoza is extra juicy today," Ishida smiled as he shared some of his dumplings.

Something about Upperclassman Kiyotaka intrigues me. I can definitely see him going about his day being completely unaware that he is trending in the hearts of other classmates. Do you have any ideas on how others might show their interest in him?
Although it defeats the purpose a little bit I personally like the idea Taka is completely oblivious to the people around him that have an interest in him and is interested in the person who doesn't really have strongly feelings for him yet (Makoto).

That is perfect!!
First of all, I forgot to mention Teruteru in the previous, but Teruteru's enjoyment of being scolded would definitely also place him on the list of people who have a crush on Taka.
I picture Kokichi and Angie being weirdly symbiotic about their crush, because Kokichi will seek attention by breaking rules and Angie will seek attention by being a tattletale. So, Kokichi runs past Angie doing something he has no business doing, she cheerfully goes and tattles to Taka, and they both get Taka's attention!
And Taka having a crush on Makoto the whole time is also perfect! Makoto started off their first year with a crush on Sayaka, and though that relationship has shaped up to be platonic, it still means Taka knows how unsubtle Makoto can be when he's pining for someone, and he hasn't seen any of that behavior toward himself. So, Makoto must not feel the same way.
One afternoon, they're both in Taka's dorm room, studying together, and Makoto brings up weekend plans. Taka mentions some errand he meant to run, and Makoto offers to go with him, and Taka is excited by the prospect, and they're looking into each other's eyes, just generally kind of having a moment (though Makoto still reads the moment they're having as platonic)...
And then Angie knocks on the door to let Taka know that Kokichi just entered the laundry room with a huge tub of glue and he should probably look into that. 😜 And Taka hurries off to go check.
Also, both Angie and Kokichi can tell that Taka has a crush on Makoto. Angie acts on this by befriending Makoto (and she feels like she has no ulterior motive outside of 'If Taka-senpai likes him, he must be super cool!', but subconsciously she might have realized that if she becomes his friend and then tells him, as a friend, that she likes Taka, then he won't pursue that as a romantic option), and Kokichi acts on this by picking on Makoto (which he knows full well will not result in Taka liking him).
(While Angie and Kokichi have their symbiotic crushes on Taka, Kokichi and Shuichi have their deeply antithetical crushes on Taka and Makoto, where Kokichi is being a menace but ultimately his antics bring them closer, and Shuichi is being really submissive and nice but also getting between them.)
