Gingerbread House

It's Christmas 2021. James is trying (and failing) to build a gingerbread house. When he enlists Albus's help, baking tips and brotherly bonding ensue.

“Argh! Merlin’s saggy left—”
Albus pauses half way to the kitchen sink and eyes his brother. “Are you okay there?”
“I’m fine,” James growls. “I just need to be—Why in Dumbledore’s name will you not— Fuck!”
Albus crosses the rest of the way to the sink and puts down the stack of plates he’s holding. “You don’t sound okay.”
“Piss off.”
“Charming. Have fun then. With… Whatever this is.” Albus waves a vague hand at James and heads for the door. He’s just stepped across the threshold when James groans.
“How does Dad do this?”
Albus stops and glances back. “Do what?”
“This!” James steps back, and Albus finally sees what all the fuss is about. On the worktop in front of his brother is a small pile of gingerbread, a piping bag, and a bowl of sweets.
Albus stares at it all. “You’re… making a gingerbread house?”

I can’t believe I took a day off work to go see ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’. On the other hand, I can definitely believe I took a day off for this :)

SPOILERS!!
YES, I KNOW, THE MOVIE CAME OUT WEEKS AGO. I saw it two days after it was released, but I just have been extremely busy.
So YEAH :)
Anyhow, I did some research before going to see FBCOG (that sounds delightful lol). I saw a lot of people that hated it, and a lot that loved it. So I skrt skrted to a theatre near me and saw it with my potterhead mother.
It was, well FANTASTIC. (I’m sorry)
I really enjoyed the film. The cast was incredible. I had actually applied to be cast as young Leta Lestrange in the film, but obviously didn’t get it. But I wanted to see everything there was about Leta. I was ecstatic when I learned she was in Slytherin! (My house, see my blog SlytherSlytherPride, a wix site). Her past with her brother and everything. The ship story.
Like, wow.
The story was well done, except for a few little plot holes that you’ve probably already heard of by now (McGonagall, Dumbledore, etc.).

Ezra Miller did a phenomenal portrayal of a young broken man, who wants nothing more than to know about his past (OMG it’s like Rey from Nowhere all over again!) . I thought his connection to Nagini was interesting and so important. It will definitely add to the future films.
I’ve loved Credence’s character because I see parts of myself in him. I know that sounds tragic, but I could feel his yearning to have a normal life like I want.
Anyway, we are done being sentimental.
I think that this chapter was interesting and needed to add to the future three films that will be made. Anyway, I hope this was a little bit interesting, and that you have an AWESOME day:)
