So I’ve been hearing from other #ketoers (I can’t believe that’s a word) that beef jerky is a great snack. So I’ve been searching around and finally hit the bullet. @vtsmoke beef and pork jerky. Yummy! Hubby wasn’t a fan but I loved it - tasted like pepperoni to me! #allergyfriendly too! #glutenfree and #dairyfree - it does have sugar in the ingredients but under nutritional info it had it at 0 - so I’m guessing trace amounts? I will say no pain for me - so probably trace amounts. I definitely recommend as a good movie snack or travel snack! . . . . . #ketodiet #ketolife #ketoforpaincontrol #review #ketoreview #ketosnacks #keto #ketogeniclife #fitmom #healthy #cleaneating #lchf (at Ballenger Creek, Maryland) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsBkyadgWNE/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vl12ek97wv28

I have been so bad today...
But tomorrow is going to be another day...
I'm back :)
After several months of intense assessments and exams just went by, I'm finally free to go back to Keto. I seriously thought I'd gain everything I lost because I just binged are everything and all the carbs I could get my hands on. -_- It was mostly takeaways while I wrote my thesis. Anyway, weighed myself and find that I only gained less than 2kg (98kg). Still under 100kg :). I plateaued before I paused Keto so I'm hoping it's gone by now.
To gym or not to gym?
I have lost almost 15kg (33lbs) in two months with little exercise. My average steps in a day was 4000,I did boxing for a week and got bored. When I started Keto, I told myself that I'd hit the gym once I got keto adapted and is fit enough to go to the gym. ~8weeks into keto and I more energy than usual so I am now considering whether I should join the gym and workout... I have a very short attention span and I'm worried I'd get bored after a week. :(
Week 3 Update
Weight: (W1: 108.4) - (W2: 102.8) - (W3: 102) - 6.4 kg lost
Hips: (W1: 124cm) - (W:120) - (W:116.5) - 7.5 cm lost
Waist: (W1: 108.5cm) - (W: 103) - (W: 102) - 6.5 cm lost
Bust: (W1: 126cm) - (W2: 124) - (W3: 119.5) - 6.5 cm lost
This week - I have done nothing but stay at home and do absolutely nothing (except for studying a bit). If I had counted my steps, it would have averaged into 2000 per day!
I've been pretty lazy, I've almost forgotten to log my food - but I have been vigilant with carbs and have kept it to the minimum.
I have no cravings for carbs at all. I don't feel hungry all the time and I feel full quicker. I am also full of energy, but given how lazy I am, I barely use them (except wash the dishes).
I'ved alway had bulletproof coffee in the morning with some cream cheese on the side. I couldn't be bothered frying an egg like I used to. I've always had a problem with forming a habit (I couldn't get addicted to anything!) because I have a short attention span - and I feel this Keto is losing its lustre. I'm keeping myself motivated and I have a feeling that It'll stick. :)
Weight is not really a good indicator of progress. I've been retaining water since my period, I felt bloated, and constipated (I'm thinking of getting fibre supplement. General laxatives seem to be a waste).
My body measurements have gone down though which makes me happy. My jeans that used to dig into my waist is not sitting fine on my waist. I can't wait for it to be lose!
I thought about joining a gym and going to one. I've had membership before but I couldn't commit to it and I just waste my money. I'd probably be active for a week or two then wouldn't bother going. I think I'll just continue lazing around until gym fever kicks in.
Week 4 - I'm going to (try and) follow my macros to a T. I felt that I am eating more (if not equal) protein to fats and I need to rectify that asap.
Overall, keto and being lazy seems to help me lose weight, albeit slowly. I'll try to be more active, but I doubt I'll be. I work as a web builder/designer/developer and I'll be on my ass all day.
How do you know if you are eating too little?
Fellow ketoers I need help! How do I know If I'm eating too little? I used the keto calculator to know my macros and calories and these are my stats:
Personal Stats:
167 lbs (75,8kg)
5ft5 (1,66 m)
Little to no exercise
Here are your personal macros:
1338kcal Daily Calorie Intake
20g Carbohydrates (6%, 80 kcal)
63g Protein (19%, 252 kcal)
112g Fat (75%, 1006 kcal)
It also said:
Large Deficit: This is hard, give it a try for two weeks.
It's been a month (same macros/calories everyday) and I usually walk between 4 and 8 kilometers a day (2-4mi)
Since I feel fuller on keto with less calories how do I know if I should up my calories?
