It was night. Lucie couldn't sleep. She was worried. She had made a promise to Jesse but she was still young and she didn't know how to move forward with it. There were books that stated on the procedure but there wasn't an easy access to them. The Merry Thieves might have a book about it but she did not want any suspicion to be drawn towards her. It would only lead to many questions and more lies to people she holds dear.
She remembered her talk with all her friends at Anna's apartment. How many names would each of them want? Then, Lucie had not answered. Now as she lay on her bed, she knew she wouldn't more than one name.
One name that she knew very well now.
One name that she knows is now engraved on her heart.
One name for which she'll lie and live in secrets for however long she needed to.
One name, Jesse Blackthorn.
She thought of Jesse then, whose life was lost without him ever getting a chance to live. She wished things to get easier. She wished that Jesse was here. With her. She wouldn't mind being anywhere, as long as he's with her.
She tried to rid her mind of thoughts to sleep and closed her eyes. She somehow couldn't think of anything and her new discovery wouldn't leave her alone.
Annoyed, she opened her eyes and went towards the window of her room. There was no way, she would be able to sleep now, so she decided to enjoy the calm before the storm.
"Lucie?"
Lucie turned her head sharply towards the familiar voice.
"Jesse? What are you doing here?"
Lucie looked inquisitively towards him.
“I felt you call me.”
“What? But I did not-” Lucie stopped suddenly and cursed herself. She really needed to learn to control her powers. Otherwise every time when she would think of Jesse, he would be forced to be there with her.
“I sincerely apologize! I am still trying to learn to control my powers. They are- they are uncanny.“
Lucie started to explain when she saw Jesse’s mouth curve into a slight smile and heard him reply “It’s absolutely alright Lucie. It’s better, spending my time with you.”
It made her heart tighten. If there was any way for them to be together, Lucie would not pass up on the opportunity. She was now more determined to bring him back
There was a peaceful quiet surrounding them then. She took a moment to look at Jesse. His eyes that once seemed eerie to her, were now so familiar to her that she found comfort in them.
“Lucie, what happened that compelled me to come here?” Jesse looked curious but there was something more in his expression than just plain curiousness. How she wished she had got the power to read minds instead.
“Lucie?”
Suddenly it hit her that she might have to tell him what she herself had just found out about. It was scary. But something about the look in his eyes called her to speak the truth.
“I was thinking about you.” She decided it to be a good start and of course, can also be a good ending. Jesse, though, was waiting for her to elaborate on it.
She took a deep breath. She decided that you can only live once and this must be said, a fact that she was hellbent on disproving, but nevertheless continued.
“I feel as if I cannot live without you. And that it was a miracle that I’ve lived until now. There is something inside you, that’s hard to explain.” Finding words to write her book seemed really simple to her now. “The only thing that I’m grateful for about my powers is that, I get to see you. I get to meet you. And I get love you.”
The shine in Jesse’s eyes was unmistakable.
“Lucie, I feel the same. I do wish that you would not have to face the burden of your powers. But I am thankful to them that I am able to talk to you. Or I’m afraid it would’ve been hell seeing you and not getting a chance to ever speak to you.”
They stared into each other’s eyes, in bliss, knowing their time together was limited. Any second the light will come and separate them for a time that would never seem shorter than an eternity.
Whatever Lucie did now, she won’t care. Not until she has brought her love back from the dead.
After a long troubling time, it was finally a quiet night with two lovers laying side by side on the bed. They both were amazed that after everything, they were still together.
Falling in love might have just been the simplest of things, what had followed after had been the difficult part. It was a love story worth being remembered for eons.
Lucie was fighting her sleep just to lay with him for one more moment. There were so many moments where she had felt misery every time she had found it an impossibility to bring Jesse back without killing someone in necromancy manuals. Now, when he is alive—again, she was not going to waste a moment on a task such as sleeping when the two of them were together.
The moonlight was spilling into the room from the small gap in the curtains and falling on Jesse's face. He looked ethereal to Lucie. He always looked ethereal to her.
"Do you ever regret loving me?" Jesse suddenly looked at her and asked as if it was the most important question in the world and it's answer would be something he'll always keep in his heart. Whether it be good or bad.
"Why do you ask that, love?" Lucie asked him as she lay next to him, cuddling with him. She gazed into his eyes, a bit puzzled onto what brought this doubt on.
"I was just wondering. If you never loved me, you could've had such a simple and normal life. You could've gotten older without any worries. Without keeping any secrets from the people you're close to." Jesse stated. He said it with worry in his eyes.
"Honestly, Jesse! I feel quite offended that you think I would want anything but an adventurous life!" She said playfully. She wanted the worry in his eyes to disappear. She just wanted a smile to adorn his beautiful face.
Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy. Jesse still looked the same. "I feel like you are dodging the question."
She suddenly felt a rush of affection towards him.
She felt words always flowed from her but somehow she was unable to phrase anything at this moment. She wanted her words to be something special, which will never make him doubt her affection towards him. She struggled for a minute to put words together which only made Jesse more anxious.
"Jesse, you need not ever worry about it."
"But I caused you-" Lucie put a finger on his lips to quiet him.
"But nothing Jesse! If I had to make any choice again or ever in future, I know I will always choose you. I don't care if I have to lie a thousand times for you, I would do it. Because I can never imagine my life without you in it."
"If you're asking me if I regret loving you because I had to lie to everyone, then no. I never regret it nor will I ever regret it. I do regret lying to people but I will never regret loving you. How can I ever regret something so beautiful?"
"Lu-"
"No regrets." Lucie interrupted him before he asked the same thing to torment himself.
Jesse gifted Lucie with a glowing smile on his face.
Ha! Mission accomplished! Lucie thought.
"I love you, Lucie Herondale." Jesse stated as it was something as simple as the stars being beautiful.
Lucie sighed and curled up into his arms, starting to close her eyes. She fought her drowsiness enough to say one last thing before she slept.
So, this is a really angsty fic, but please read on.
Tessa Gray had already loved and lost so many times that it feels to her as if her heart is now a shattered mess. There had been a time when she had thought couldn't be more normal but that was of course, before she had found out about her heritage.
She was glad to have friends who like her were also immortal. Catarina, Ragnor and Magnus. Magnus, who was like her brother. Magnus, who like her had also loved a shadowhunter. And who, like her had lost the will to live when his love had died. They had supported each other when Alec and Jem had died. Both of them had lost a huge part of themselves since then.
Magnus still had his sons and had not let his misery affect them. And Tessa, mourned for Jem with Mina and Kit, that is until a few years when Kit had died too due to old age. And then, Mina and Rafael too had died within a decade.
Tessa had survived the death of her love, friends and children before but it didn't help her in any way now. She spent her nights calling out to Jem, Will, Mina, James, Lucie and Kit. She always knew that she wouldn't get any answer but it never helped her. She wore her bracelet that Will gave her and the pendant Jem had proposed to her with, everyday.
She cried every night before sleeping and when she woke up, felt the misery pressing over her. She didn't like to read any books with a love story. She didn't like to walk around a garden. She didn't like to sleep. She didn't like to live.
This night she felt different. She felt as if she could feel the ghosts of all her loved ones. She had often wished for the Herondale ability to see ghosts but had often dispatched the idea, marking it as sweet torture. But now feeling them here, she wished again for it.
She felt them.
Jem and Will.
She had tried to go to their grave ones, but she lost her nerve on the way there. And now when she felt them near her, she could have cried but she stopped herself.
She said, "Are you really, here?"
She knew she wouldn't have heard their voice even if they did speak but she couldn't resist just sitting on her bed when they were this close. She heard the sound of wind from the window moving the curtains. She hoped she wasn't wrong.
"I don't know how to live in this world without you two. I don't want to live here anymore. Without all of you, my life just feels empty now. I feel my heart and mind is now full of agony. I feel myself full of sadness. This world feels dark without the two of you." She took a deep breath. "I have seen the dark for so long, I'm afraid I'll make it my abode."
She talked about her fears and her crumbling strength under the weight of this misery. She talked about the things she had only ever been able to talk with them.
And then her tears started following. She couldn't stop her tears. She felt as if both of them were holding her up as she cried. She remembered all her time spent with them. All the times she had cried and laughed with them. She remembered the time when she tried to go to their grave once but didn't have enough strength. She remembered all the time she had spent with her children and her mortal friends. She remembered visiting again all the places where she had celebrated her anniversary with Will. She remembered all the time she had gone to the Blackfriars bridge even though she knew that no one would ever come there to see her.
That night she slept again while crying but it was one sleep from which when she woke up, she didn't feel the agony.
All she hoped that she wasn't just imagining them last night.

Thank you for the idea! I was just thinking about what to write next. Hope you like it!

Those Last Moments
Noah was glad to be back home. He loved it in Aglionby and he had fun searching for ley lines with his friend but there's no place like home. He remembered running around the gardens with Adele and Ella when they were little.
He had a sweet realationship with his sisters. He called them every other day and they didn't have secrets between them.
Well, they didn't use to. Until Noah promised to help Whelk in his search.
He really wished he could tell Ella and Adele about going around Henrietta in their cars, into forests and caves. He wished he could tell them about the thrill of finding a truth which others think of as fiction. But he couldn't.
So, instead he tells them about his friends from swim team. The progress of starting yearly 'Raven Days'.
It was his sister Ella's birthday and he always returned home when it was someone's birthday.
He rang the bell.
The door opened and his mother threw her arms around him and exclaimed "You're early!"
"Nice to see you too mom." He replied with a grin on his face.
"Oh, you know what I mean!" She said with a matching grin on her face.
They went inside the house and into the living room.
"So, where's everyone?" Noah asked. It had been way too long since he'd seen his father and sisters.
"Like I said, you're here early. So your father wanted to complete his work before you reached. He is in his study. And Adele has gone out with Ella."
"I'm really glad you guys are not throwing a huge party. I really don't want to talk to thousands of people today."
"Humph! Ella refused when we suggested a party." Noah's mother loved to throw parties and make new friends
"Well, I dislike talking to people whose name I always seem to mix up." Said a voice from the door of the living room.
Noah would've recognised that voice anywhere. Ella and Adele were standing right there.
"El!" Happy Birthday!"
The next few minutes passed by while everyone hugged.
And then when Noah's father came into the living room, another round of family hugs went around.
They spent the day talking and sharing anecdotes of how Ella had been caught once while trying to sneak out, Adele's weird dreams and nightmares (that was one thing Noah and Adele shared), their father's latest success, and Noah's mother's idea of starting a charity.
They had dinner and everyone gave a toast to Ella. They planned what to do in Christmas when they'll all be together again.
Everyone laughed and laughed and cherished these moments.
These moments were precious and if Noah had known these were his last moments with his family, he would have hugged them once more and said 'I love you' to each of them one more time. Maybe he would have never left them to go to Aglionby.
But he did.
And his friend killed him.
And he didn't get to say 'I love you' to them again.
Imagine the Hephaestus cabin waking up early and decorating the cabin with banners "Happy Birthday, Leo"
Something falls and others al go still.
"Why do you guys even worry? He sleeps like the dead"
Imagine Aphrodite cabin joining in, because Piper wants her brother's friend's birthday to be special.
Banners of Happy Birthday Bad Boy Supreme, Happy Birthday Repair Boy, Happy Birthday Supreme-Sized McShizzle everywhere.
Leo waking up and being surprised at all these banners and saying 'Thank you guys' and all of them looking confused and acting as if it's one of Leo's usual antics
All of them having fun, acting that they can't see the banners and have forgotten Leo's birthday.
Calypso taking Leo out and having a date and being the first one to wish him.
Leo being "Thank god! I thought you'd forgotten too!"
Calypso being "Oh, come on! You have 2 birthdays! And you expect to be wished on both of them!"
Them happily returning to Camp and seeing a huge party with music blaring loudly and finally the others of The Seven come and hug him and wish him
Leo having tears leave his eyes because he has never been this happy since his mother died.
They enjoy and party the night away.
Leo feeling, "Yeah, this is where I belong. After all the running away, this is it"
