no cause its simple, we don't experience "love" towards anyone by any of the traditional metrics, yet "love" is a quick and easy linguistic shorthand to express the care we do feel, and its a shorthand that won't hurt anyones feelings either, win win, lacking "love" due to the weirdness of it all but hey its a helpful word to define the intensity that won't get mistaken for me wanting to fuck 'em, no?

Bit of a vent. Sorry, mod. Also sorry if this breaks any rules or comes across as weird or melodramatic It’s so weird being alovespec (I like to joke that I’m ASPEC in the sense that I’m on the spectrum for all the As) and god I hate it Everyone I see IRL is fully loving, the people I know online who aren’t are fully alove and it’s so beautiful and wonderful seeing people thrive however they choose to love OR not love and whatever But I just. Don’t love, but I do??? But only sometimes and to some people and only only only only only and at a point I feel like I’m making excuses for myself, like am I or am I not??? It’s an awful pitfall and I don’t know how to tell the people I love that I do without feeling like I’m somehow societally undervaluing everyone I keep around despite not loving them in the slightest And I can’t even tell what the distinction is- sometimes the word just doesn’t taste like lead on my tongue, I suppose, but why is that it? Sometimes I wish I could just like, “commit”, even if I know thinking so is wrong. It’s a spectrum and the way I care (I identify as caring lol) or on occasion love (not that I know what that means either) is just as valid as the rest but it is so oddly lonely to feel like a “““traitor””” of sorts on both ends Anyways the loveflux flag is gorgeous

(Also, venting is completely alright, it'd just be nice if people could tell us what response they want from us, be it silence, comfort, or advice. Because we don't want to do the wrong thing and make it worse)

okay, full transparency we went to post like 5 flags we never officially coined, but we already coined two of them. and it looked weird having 3 to post.
