I don't think you get it. When I say that Byler is something that I need, I MEAN IT

Without mentioning queer romance/representation-center shows, books, or movies, there are only four others canon queer ships that I love with all my heart

Wylan and Jesper from shadow and bone, they are so important to me and the show was simply cancelled by Netflix; the reasons are unknown to me.

Cynthia and Lydia from Rise of the Pink Ladies, same history as with Netflix, the show was canceled by Paramount, and not only that, but it's been removed from the platform

Neither ship was the focus of the story on their show, but they had their own level of importance, and in my opinion, they were a delight to watch.

And then these two

Billy and Teddy from Marvel Comics, I've been waiting YEARS for them in the MCU, and we're already halfway there with Billy's appearance in Agatha All Along and other members of the Young Avengers.

Nico and Will from the Riordanverse, while I haven't read the books both are in yet, I'm aware of them and how lovely their relationship is. Just like with Marvel, we're getting a taste of what's to come with Nico's appearance in season three of Percy Jackson, but there's still many years to go before we ever get to see them

And here's the thing, I don't know if I'll ever see these couples on screen, because there's still a lot of homophobia in the media these days.

Byler being endgame in a show as big and mainstream as Stranger Things is paves the way for ships like this and others to come to have a better and smoother path.

I couldn't get the first two, and I don't know if I'll ever see the other two.

But I know Byler can change things, and can finally allow me and others to see more representation of us in sci-fi, horror or any other genre without being just the side-character, the gay best friend or the one who dies first

Lynthia in the big 2025?

Hello guys I have written Rise of the pink ladies fanfic. It's still ungoing (1/9 chapters done) but I swear on my dog and cats that I WILL finish it this time.

Anyways it'd be appericiated if you guys checked it out because this fandom is literally dead.

Summary:

Senior year, Lydia and Cynthia are still going strong. That is, until someone catches them kissing under the bleachers. But they mistake Cynthia for a boy. The two decide to go along with the rumor, as it makes a good cover--Cynthia finds it hilarious, Lydia is weary. They decide to let the rumor die down on it's own.

It doesn't.

If anything, the rumor only grows in popularity. People are determined to find out who this mistery guys is, and the two slowly get tangled up in a web of lies and spies.

#The way they physically cannot get close enough as they kiss even though there is literally no space between them already and how Lydia stands on her tiptoes even though she’s already taller than Cynthia and how she wraps her whole arm around Cynthia’s neck to try to get as close to her as possible
