Nash Hawthorne x Alisa Ortega - the beginnings of an unfinished nalisa fic- is anyone interested in this
“Is Avery okay.” Alisa asks me, standing at the doorframe to my room.
“The kid will be fine, she’s tough. Though finding a damn cow heart on your bed is one way to make you feel unsafe.” I mutter.
“She isn’t safe.”
“Yeah and whose fault is that.” My voice is sharper than i mean it to be. Alisa already has enough pressure on her without me intruding, i know that and looking at her now i can see the stress on her beautiful face.
She looks down to her matte black heels, i feel like a piece of crap.
“Hey,” i lift her chin, “we are all doing the best we can right now. I didn’t mean to blame you, we know who’s fault this is.” I nod at a portrait of my grandfather on the opposite end of the corridor. I haven’t touched Lee Lee like this for a long time.
Fearful of the prying eyes that haunt every crevice of this house, Alisa steps into my room and locks the door.
“Why would he do this? To you and your brothers? To me?” She whispers. “Why would he choose her?”
“Nobody knows Lee Lee, and i advise you not to worry yourself by thinking about it, the old man was always complicated, the only way to beat his games are to ignore them.” i say softly, being so close to her reminds me of something i felt years ago.
“Your right. It’s still-“ she sighs, her eyes meet mine, she reaches up slowly to undo her hair. It cascades down her back, rich dark waves that i had run my hands through a million times.
“Alisa, it’s been a rough few weeks. I’ve wanted to ask you how you are but i’ve been-“
“Busy.” she finishes, her tone is snappy so i know she’s thinking about me and Libby.
“Lee Lee, it’s been hard for everyone.” I wanted to defend Libby but Alisa’s dislike for her isn’t unfounded. And in this moment even though i like Libby, Lee Lees thick dark hair is making me want her far more.
“Nash, i need to ask you something.” Her voice low, but still as strong and unwavering as usual. I used to love the fact she always knows what she wants. “I’ve been thinking about about before we got together, when we were just friends.” She said slowly.
Before we officially started dating we were “just friends”, friends meaning we snuck into the woods and made out for hours by the lake, friends meaning we exchanged secret messages and had our own code, friends meaning we were eachothers first. But that was when we were young, things are different now, or at least they are meant to be. Me and her are too different, that’s what everybody said so why did i still feel so drawn into her orbit.
“What were you thinking Lee Lee…” I want to push the words out of her, turn the thoughts in her head into a reality, but if there was one thing to know about Alisa it was that she was stubborn.
“Maybe we could return to that.” She doesn’t elaborate.
“More specifically” I drawl, moving closer to her. “Tell me what you want.”
“You first.” she raises a perfectly arched brow at me, her voice far steadier than mine was. She won’t touch me until i touch her, this is the game we play for five minutes, all sharp retorts, deep stares and vague answers but we both know how this will end…
idk if this is a hot take, but the tig fandom throws around the word "mysognisitc" FARRR too much (not sure if this is safe to say here because I've never really used this app). when somebody ships nalisa but doesn't like libby, it's mysognistic apparently, EVEN if the person they're attacking clearly states the reasons they don't like alisa aren't related to libby. it's the same vise versa when a libby fan hates alisa—people might call them mysognisitc despite their reasoning being that they were mean to libby, not because they're mad alisa was an ex.
and they also weaponize the word by ONLY using it when it benefits them. they are the same people who hate lyra because they ship averygray. personally, I find it a strong word and not to use just because you're mad somebody has an opposing opinion— especially if you're accusing someone while doing the same thing with a different ship. of COURSE there are plenty of people who genuinly mysognisitc, like those who hate savannah but like grayson. but that doesn't automatically make everyone involved with the ship. don't turn us into the boys of tommen fandom😂😂
If Jameson is that big and muscular, and he wasn’t even described as that muscular in the books… imagine Knox and Nash, who were described as very muscular 🗣️🗣️🗣️
I find it so funny that Gigi mentions Knox’s muscles so many times in TGG and in The Brothers Hawthorne she gets affected by Nash being shirtless 😂😂😂
Ever since she found out she was debuting with BLACKPINK and the other girls, she had been bursting with excitement. As soon as she was done with practice that day, she immediately called her parents, despite the timezones, to tell them she was debuting and she hoped they’d be able to make it to her debut showcase.
They were given two days to pack their belongings from the female trainee dorms and then they’d be brought to BLACKPINK’s dorms, where they would be living until their debut.
The whole car ride Nari was in between Jisoo and Chaeyoung, which she was fine with, while Jennie and Lisa were in front of them. Most of the car ride Nari was talking to the two girls next to her. Lisa would mostly talk to Chaeyoung while Jennie was quiet, which Nari thought was a bit weird but only tried to talk to her a few times. The girl would answer with few words, so she thought maybe she was just shy.
Once the group got to the building where they’d be staying, Nari and Lisa were the fastest to get their things and into the building. A woman that Nari had never seen before recognized them and smiled, heading over their way. “Room 13, floor 13.” Nari’s eyebrows rose before nodding, grabbing one of the keys the woman had in her hand as Lisa grabbed a second one from out of the five.
The other three girls still hadn’t headed in by then so Lisa looked at Nari, “We should just go up already,” she bounced up and down from excitement, a grin growing on her face. “They’ll catch up.”
Nari grinned back, following her into the elevator and pressed number thirteen button. Lisa pressed the ‘close doors’ button and sheepishly laughed, “I don’t want to wait any longer.”
Nari giggled as the elevator slowly went up and tried her best to start a conversation, “How old are you? I was born in 1998.”
“1997!” Lisa laughed, “You have to call me unnie now. Are you from Korea?”
“No,” Nari shook her head. “The USA, I moved here back in 2013.”
“Ah, I’m from Thailand,” Lisa looked at her boots, “I started training in 2011.”
“I’m glad we get to debut together then, unnie,” she emphasized unnie and Lisa laughed before gasping as she looked at Nari’s suitcase.
“Is that L from Death Note?” Lisa asked, pointing at the sticker on her suitcase. Nari looked down and smiled.
“Yep, he’s my favorite character ever,” Nari nodded. “Besides Sebastian from Black Butler, but yeah. Do you like anime?”
“I love anime!” Lisa jumped up and down, making Nari a little bit cautious but she didn’t speak out about it. “My friend Bambam doesn’t like Death Note,” she pouted. “Do you know Bambam? He’s in GOT7, under JYP.”
“Not personally, but I heard of him,” Nari laughed. “And how could he not like Death Note?” She scoffed as the elevator dinged, saying their arrival the the thirteenth floor. Nari stepped out first, glad to be out of the elevator as she rolled her suitcases down the hall. “Who’s your favorite character?”
“Matsuda,” Lisa followed behind. “He’s not really a main character, but he’s so funny to me. Which door did she say again?”
“Thirteen,” Nari answered. “I want a Death Note so bad, but I haven’t managed to get the money for it yet, and they’re honestly quite expensive even though it’s just a black journal with the words Death Note written on it.”
“Then why don’t you just make one yourself?” Lisa questioned, raising her eyebrows as they got to the door. Nari paused from unlocking the door and looked at her. “I mean, if you can--”
“Why didn’t I think about that?” Nari mocked a frown before saying, “Maybe you aren’t just a hag with memory loss like the rest of them,” she then rushed into their dorms.
“Thank y-- Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?” Lisa yelled after her, rushing in.
Nari giggled as she admired the rather small living room that connected to the kitchen, but she didn’t mind. She was finally debuting, with four girls, two she already knew, and one she was sure she’d be best friends with. The last one ... She’d make her crack.
“It means, everyone born in 1997 and older are old people,” Nari explained slowly to her like she was a child.
Lisa scoffed, “Hey! I’m your unnie, show some respect.”
“Respect is earned,” Nari teased, giggling as she dragged her suitcases into the hallway. “Want to share a room together?” She was sure rooming with her would be interesting and fun.
“Sure! We’re the two youngest anyway,” Lisa then paused, narrowing her eyes. “Don’t change the subject, you disrespectful brat!” She then gasped, eyes widening as she realized. “Oh no, I am sounding like an old hag! No!” She dragged out the ‘o’ in ‘no’ and falling to the floor as the other three girls arrived in the doorway, eyebrows raising in surprise at Lisa being dramatic.
Jisoo looked at Nari immediately, “What did you do?”
“I didn’t do anything,” Nari frowned at her, eyebrows furrowing. “What makes you assume I did?”
“Probably for the same reason I do,” Chaeyoung laughed. “Every time someone is on the floor near you, it’s because of you.”
“It was one time! And I didn’t even mean to,” Nari argued as Lisa stood up from the floor.
“What’d you do?” Jennie spoke up for one of the few times that day.
“A male trainee snuck up behind her and said hello,” Jisoo answered, rolling her eyes slightly. “She got scared and hit him where I’m sure no man would like to be hit.”
The other three girls began to laugh as Nari grumbled, “One time, and he learned not to sneak up on me anymore after that.”
“He didn’t talk to anymore after that,” Chaeyoung corrected her through her laughter. Lisa laughed harder at that, bracing herself on the wall near her.
“I see you all are bullies,” Nari huffed, grabbing her suitcases. “Lisa, I don’t want to room with you anymore!”
“No!” Lisa stopped laughing, emphasizing and grabbed her suitcases. “I’m coming! Don’t you dare--”
Nari smiled to herself as she opened one of the doors, finding two beds in the room and started to pull her things into it as Lisa followed behind.
“Thanks for giving us to the options of who to room with, too!” Chaeyoung called after them teasingly and Nari laughed loudly at her, making a face before shutting the door.
When she turned back, Lisa was already putting her stuff up and turned around to face Nari, smiling sheepishly. “So, you’re not allergic to cats or anything, right?”
“Uh...”
Rooming with Lisa would definitely be interesting, all right.
what do you guys think alisas ethnicity is 😭😭 we know she is either latina or spanish judging by her surname, but probably latina. it's a Spanish surname, but it's also popular in Mexico/Argentina/Colombia. I'd guess Mexico or Colombia because of her darker complexion. also i don't remember it stating her ethnicity anywhere, and I just really like knowing these things so I can incorporate it into edits lmao
this post isn't a hate post for libby in particular. it's more directed towards a fan account on tiktok for her who... quite frankly, acts like an AI.
she's made a few posts about how alisa is rude to avery and libby, also using quotes where the brothers don't trust her so that they can make it look like libby is closer to them. I do not care how much you want to romanticise Libby's 'siblinglikerelationship' with the brothers, but the scale is nowhere CLOSE to their one with alisa.
firstly, she used an example where alisa was "mean" to avery, and the second slide was where libby is being a normal sister. this is genuinely the most stupid comparison I've seen, because alisa and avery knew each other for THREE DAYS during that scene. what are you expecting?! and then alisa gave avery the phone so that she could speak to max—reason for giving the phone being that avery had no one to look our for her, and yeah, that no one includes libby! libby was going through her own struggles from drake and then spending a lot of time with nash, meaning she wasn't really there for avery unless it was to assert her place as guardian because she was being petty. later on, we see avery joking around with alisa more and willing to risk everything to bring her back when they took alisa. the hawthornes, too.
secondly, the post where she attempted to make it look like the hawthornes didn't trust her, and that she wasn't really loyal to them. mind you, she nearly CRIED when she found out they had second guessed her intentions. there is a scene where she speaks and says she sacrificed everything, including nash, to work for this family. Nash has to tell his brothers to look out for her, because he is scared she is overworking herself. sure, you can call alisa rude, but she is in NO world 'unloyal'. it makes no sense to frame libby as closer to them when alisa knew the family since before they were born, and she practically raised them. "I've known you since you were in diapers, and you've always been trouble." how could you say you 'love alisa' while downplaying everything she's worked for? what, because she didn't give it all up for a man, meaning she isn't loyal? bullshit.
then, she tries to act as though nash not getting back with alisa proves her worth. infuckingsane. now obviously this is going more into the ship war itself, but I still feel its necessary, because its being brought up as if that means alisa is less of a person. there is a key difference between alisanash and libbynash. he married libby because he thought he was enough to take care of her. he has a savior complex (before anyone say this is fanmade AGAIN, it states this flaw twice in the FIRST book), and he feels as though he is not enough if he cannot "save" the person. for alisa, he couldn't save her from tobias' manipulations or get her out of that house. stuck in his own head, he believed that she deserved more than what he is. the whole "they were too different" is dumb because you are not trying to look past your own nose as to WHY they were different. "he wanted to leave and he wanted to stay" but WHAT did that mean for how they thought of themselves?
nash=I wasn't enough to make her leave
alisa=I wasn't enough to make him stay
literally just queue the entire album of 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love' in order, and that will describe their relationship.
again, this is not hate towards Libby's character, it is to her fans. my best friends are libby fans, so are so many of my mutuals, and they are genuinely such sweet people. but they aren't the ones degrading a woman for not being chosen by a man. the fans who say these types of things are the reason many people started to dislike libby. instead of making alisa the villain, try to realise they are both now stronger people and have overcome large things at the hands of men. as libby used to be my favourite character before I grew as a person and realised maybe she is more of a reflection of my immature self, there are SO many things you can praise her on, rather than "Nash chose her for a reason." libby survived a toxic household, abuse, and her own mental health. alisa survived her grief, being trapped in tobias' words, and her self doubt.
they're both amazing in their own way, and it's important not to tear them apart JUST because of a ship. no, I am not the biggest fan of libby. do I hate her, though? no. that would be hypocritical, seeing as she is a mirror of old versions of myself. but NONE of those reasons have to do with nash. I'll get defensive when it comes to alisa/alisanash and point out the other sides flaws, but that doesn't mean it is the reason I'm not fond of her character.
the account im talking about ALWAYS says "this was made up by fans, it's not true" but ignores quotes we bring up from the books and jlb herself contradicting her statement...? yeah, nice way to deflect. and then she proceeds to make up her own little narrative with NOTHING to back it up besides small quotes where if she just read the whole scene, she would've known her point was wrong. I like to compare this girl to AI because when AI can not find an answer across the internet, it makes it up LMAO
"alisa fans attack me for no reason" while actively hating in their comments before they even know who the fuck you are is just...weird!
ps. editing this and seeing all the typos cause of so tired is embarrassing HAHAHA
