Don’t mind my crazy hair, but who doesn’t love a good before and after?

On the left is 2018, night of my 30th birthday.

On the right is today, two weeks shy of my 32nd birthday.

It’s nice to see visual progress of how far I’ve come and reminder to not be so hard on myself. The results are there!

1 year, 45 pound difference ✌️PICTURES ARE POWERFUL. I feel just as fat as I did last year but it appears I may have shrunk a little!

Wow! I’ve just had a non-scale victory!

I came back from the province over last week, and in the prairies you need layers (it was -30 C / -22 F, not counting wind chill), so today I’m having to do a BIG load of laundry.

This means I had no pants left to wear. I was looking around and in the back of my dresser drawer was a size 13 pair of skinny jeans...

They fit.

These were the pants I bought when I was 16 years old thinking that they were jeans for skinny people! The pair that I bought thinking it would be such an impossible goal to get to!! 

Wow... just, wow... how things change.

So, I took a chance by ordering some jeans online that were size 12, and to my surprise, they fit perfectly and even were a little bit big! When I started my journey, I was a size 14 but I could barely get my pants buttoned and they would leave painful red marks on my stomach. I refused to get a size bigger because I was in denial that I was letting my unhealthy eating habits take over my life. This may not seem like a lot, but these jeans represent how far I've come over these past 3 months. These non-scale victories motivate me so much and realize there is so much more than just the scale! I can't wait to see where I'll be and what I'll accomplish in the next few months😊

One year Surgiversary

Happy surgiversary, followers! One year ago today since my VSG operation, and what a year it has been! I sometimes can’t believe what I’ve gone through in the last 365 days. There have been good days and bad days, but overwhelmingly grateful that I made this decision to change my life. 

Starting weight: 138.1kg (304lbs)

Current weight: 83.5kg (184lbs)

Total loss: 54.6kg (120lbs)

MFP Logging: 383 as of today

BMI: 27 down from 44

Size: 14 down from 22
