🌸 Last post 🌸 (at least for a while) Over 20 years of yoga plus almost 20 years of veganism has me wondering where all the time went. I spent so much of that time worrying and obsessing about the way I looked. Moving back to LA in 2010, eating a fruit-based diet, finding community, and making YouTube videos (along with excellent hypnotherapy) got me to a place where I can now say, “I used to have an eating disorder.” Yes, my old YouTube videos are still there 🤦🏼♀️😂😬 I realized this past year that it’s not about being thin. I want to be strong. I want to carry my own music gear. I want to pick up my electric guitar amp without whining lol 😜 • Trigger warning ⚠️ I have not had a binge in over seven years. I spent most of my adulthood being ruled by numbers, calories, meal plans, sizes on tags, and the scale in my bathroom. At almost 40 I am finally so in love with who I have become. I wish I could tell my younger self that it’s not about being perfect. I never want to feel like I’m in a food jail. I’d rather be 20 pounds heavier than feel restricted. Diets aren’t for me. This is my lifestyle. No matter how my body changes over the years, I will always be vegan. I no longer compare my journey to that of others and I no longer feel the need to share what I eat. For now, I’ll leave the inspirational instagramming to the influencers. Instead, I’m about living and making music!
