A scenario for if the Terastal monarch killed Autumn, Jacq etc. in one of their rampages(this is the aftermath) (scenario originally made by @crazisketch but she has already written the part of Autumn getting murked(not public) so I’m just doing the aftermath)

TW FOR: DEATH

The boy slowly woke up after the Monarch ended its rampage, he looked around the ruined base of Team Brillar, corpses littered the floor.

Various grunts, a few random guards, that red haired one he talked to and the guard who helped him were nowhere to be seen(they survived).

That’s when he saw them.

Autumn and Jacq, lying motionless on the floor.

“…J-Jacq..? M-mom..?”

Oh Arceus. He killed them, he killed the closest thing he had to parents while in that fucking form.

“MOM!”

He desperately rushed to Autumn’s body, shaking it, hoping, praying she’d get up.

But she wouldn’t, there was a hole in her chest, clear as day.

“…”

There had to be something, anything he could do.

Wait.. there WAS something he could do.

“I-I remember.. I remember hearing something about me being able to terastallize people in that form.. maybe I can do something like that..?”

His eye was wide, he looked completely panicked, he probably wasn’t even fully thinking straight.

Scratch that, he definitely wasn’t fully thinking straight.

“O-ok.. here goes.. nothing..”

His eyes glazed over once more, and he raised his terastal arm.

“This is not your end, you have much more to accomplish.”

“You shall march as well, you shall rise once more, powerful and with authority.”

“Rise to your new power, o Terastal Matriarch.”

His terastal arm became that same big claw as Terastal energy began to shoot out of it and surround Autumn, Jacq will probably meet a similar fate soon.

Crystals covered just enough to heal Autumn’s wounds, maybe a crystal organ if one was pierced.

She gained a typing, Psychic. A little arm band, that arm band was the only sign of her terastallization.

Theodore’s voice shakily said.

“Welcome.. o Terastal Matriarch..”

Balen’s really interesting for me to write because he’s supposed to be a badass Cadian with Catachan roots who is a career guardsman but for whatever reason I cannot help but want to write him in damsel (dude?) in distress situations.

It’s almost dawn where I’m at and I haven’t slept yet. So I should probably do that.

people who keep throwing hate at this lottienat fic... I just have to wonder, have you never been in a fandom before?

I will never understand when people bitch about ooc writing, especially-- and I cannot emphasize this enough-- when it comes to Yellowjackets.

I once saw someone very wise say "the question shouldn't be 'would they do/say this', but rather 'in what situation would they do/say this'?"

and, when you take away the crash (which probably at least 75% of YJ fics do), it changes the situation for these characters drastically.

gonna admit that S&C isn't my fave lottienat fic by any stretch, but I still don't think the writer deserves any of the hate they're getting. I also suspect they're being targeted because the fic has become so popular, and not really because it's ooc. there are plenty of other ooc lottienat fics on ao3 (a couple of them are even mine, I would dare say), but the rest of us don't get any hate at all, so like... do your own calculations, you know?

I've been writing and reading fics for longer than it appears (been in fandoms since the ripe old age of 15), and it used to be a given that ooc fics existed as just a normal part of fandom life, so it's super weird to me 11 years later to even be having these conversations.

p.s. y'all realize ao3 has filters for a reason, right? ((blinks))

I find it ironic that the same people who will flock and shriek at any posts critical of Akito's conclusion (her getting away scot free with years of abuse) will constantly go on and on about how Fruits Basket is about forgiveness and if you don't like the ending "you didn't understand the story or themes" will say that Kyo deserved the harsh treatment he received during the hospital arc for two reasons 1st he hurt Tohru's feelings and 2nd it is funny. He was looking out for Tohru by rejecting her yes he did it in a very harsh way but he had his reasons such as his crippling guilt and his future confinement. And people in general treating him like crap and saying he is worthless it was because of people like Akito who instilled those ideas into his head. Kyo should have been allowed to explain himself sooner and Akito should have never been allowed anywhere near Tohru after she tried to murder her.

Especially after we see in 'Skin' that Sam is with shifter!Dean for a VERY short time and he immediately knows something is off and throws him the keys to test his theory and is proven right immediately. But Dean just hung out with very clearly not!Sam for days and.. nothing??

As much as I'd like to use a canon explanation for this, it's one of the worst examples of OOC Dean that I just have to throw up my hands and simply blame the writers for taking the lazy way out and not coming up with a plausible explanation that would allow Not!Sam to hang around with Dean without him noticing. I know it was necessary for the plot and the humor, but they couldn't come up with any line of dialogue or hint that Dean was on to Gary? Nope, just nope.
