honestly when/if Oonoki found out that Madara rose from the dead just to kill The Yellow Flash, I think he'd be sooo pissed, but it's mostly overpowered by the sheer relief of not having to deal with That Blonde Bitch anymore

Genuinely I LOVE the Tsuchikage calling and being like 'what? yeah, of course literally EVERYONE has known about your little airship thing for months. obviously.' And tsunade had to go '…yeah. that makes sense, actually, okay. that's on me I shoulda figured.' That was great.

the thought of wars ALL been the fault of a Tsuchikage refusing to remember their borders or take a single geography class………wake up shinobi world. new Konoha propaganda just dropped!!!

tsunade assumes that everyone is being silent in the room because she's deliberating whether she's going to blow up the tobisachimaru with kakashi on it. but really they're all arguing with their eyes over whether they're supposed to like. say anything about Oonoki getting his OWN village's name wrong. sakura opens her mouth and Sai looks at her like she just shot a dog in front of him before she even says anything. then everyone is looking at her like she's supposed to say something and she remembers they were talking about her sensei's life and goes 'oh nooo….' but really she's eyeing shizune trying to get SHIZUNE to say something about the tsuchikage's fumble cause she's their last hope….tsunade, pissed that this is an actually serious situaion because otherwise she would LOVE to make fun of Oonoki for being so old his memory is going, and when he says that she made the same mistake she could hit him with the 'oh, it would be disrespectful of my elders to correct them though, I would never do that to you old man'. Tsunade, making a mental note in big bold letters to hold this over his head at the earliest possible chance….

just noticed something interesting

in oonoki's flashback in vol 60, madara is briefly shown using his regular mangekyou rather than the ems. i feel like we almost never see that lol

I think Oonoki would get along relatively well with Tobirama as, like, allies. But if they had like a friendly conversation it would. not stay friendly.

The real reason Oonki teamed up with the kage to fight Madara is cause his Yellow Flash Bullshit senses were tingling on the battlefield behind him and yes, as a matter of fact, he WOULD rather take his chances against Madara. Is this the rational call? Absolutely not, but, well. The Yellow Flash who shall NOT be named by any Iwa shinobi hardly strikes rationality into the minds of them.
