Mafuyu being a system, whether intentional or not, has been essentially canonized as of her most recent Bloomfes card story.

Evernight/March:

Canonically the "other self" of March; born out of a desire to protect herself and her friends. There is also a text conversation she has with the Trailblazer asking if she is like a character in a movie who has several alters.

@plural-bracket - She's a book (not comic) character, and I think book characters need more representation. Yes, I love TV shows and video games and music videos, but books deserve love too.

- She's just like me fr. She's both artistic and curious and loves science.

-Speaking of which, you know the old scientific drawings that everyone loves? She makes those. Look at those beautiful skyeels!

-She has illusion powers. You know how some plural characters switch appearances when different headmates front for no reason? Well, she has a reason! -She is a bisexual icon.

-She's survived falling into canyons and supernatural storms. She's also survived an alternative realm where everything is made of glass spheres. It makes sense if you read the books.

-She's a well-devolved perspective character, none of that "fantasy redhead heroine who is nothing but a love interest." She never feels like the love interest of another main character because she is honestly cooler than him.

HELLO!! A BRACKET BLOG!

Hello plural systems, osc-ers, and those who are both! With how wide the OSC is and how many shows, comics, etc are in it, there are bound to be some plural coded characters - intentional or not. And this is the battle for the BEST ONE!

This blog is open to all sides of syscourse, just don’t be a dick to each other on our posts.

We are currently accepting submissions for characters! Here are some suggestions if you are unsure what you can/cannot submit.

Possession is fine!

Bad rep, such as evil possession or evil alters, is also allowed.

Headcanons with no support in canon are allowed but probably won’t get in! If they do have canon support, however, even if it’s only a few episodes, is much better!

Characters often seen as conjoined twins also count!

Round One, Second Half: Ryoshu (Limbus Company) VS Seele Vollerei (Honkai Impact 3rd)

Ryoshu:

**Spoilers for Limbus Company Ahead**

Ryoshu was created by the House of Spiders for the sake of wielding Arayashiki, a Relic in the form of a sword that erases whatever it cleaves through as though it had never existed. However, wielding this power takes a toll; Ryoshu's own memories are shredded whenever she unsheathes the blade. She is canonically shown to dissociate and struggle to recall her fragmented memories, and due to the abuse she suffered at the hands of the Nursefathers, the figures in her life who were supposed to be her parents, she very likely has the trauma.

Seele Vollerei:

From the Honkai Impact 3rd Fandom wiki as I am not well versed enough in 3rd to write this myself:

Seele Vollerei herself is a modest, sweet, kind, and caring girl, although being rather meek, as she was unable to stand up for herself or for Bronya when both were being bullied by Sin Mal. She also appears to dislike bugs. With her insecurity growing, a flower bloomed within Seele; the waking of the Stigma's personality, Veliona. Veliona was like a polar opposite to Seele, being cruel, ruthless and sadistic. Veliona, however, appeared to be affected by Seele's resolve to save and care for Bronya, perhaps even coming to care for Bronya as well. As Seele grows stronger and desires the power to save Bronya, Veliona hears out Seele's request for help and the two come hand in hand as dual-egos.

Mafuyu Asahina:

Mafuyu being a system, whether intentional or not, has been essentially canonized as of her most recent Bloomfes card story. It is also a popular headcanon in the fandom, and has been for YEARS. The notable "selves" of Mafuyu noted are Mafuyu herself, Yuki, and OWN. She is also shown dissociating and having memory troubles throughout the story.

Arthur/John:

After opening a book, he passed out, and when he woke up, John was in his head, talking to him and taking over his eyesight and one of his arms. From my understanding, John is an old god of sorts. (I have not listened to a lot of the podcast, this is the best I can do)

FINALS: Don Quixote/Sancho (Limbus Company) VS Mutsumi Wakaba/Mortis (Bang Dream / Ave Mujica: The Die Is Cast)

**Spoilers for Limbus Company under the cut.**

Don Quixote/Sancho:

Sancho is a Bloodfiend, essentially a vampire, and her father figure was the original Don Quixote. In the past, she erased her memories, suppressing them by drinking from the River Lethe. Nowadays, she herself is known as Don Quixote, as that is the name written on her shoes, who were given to her by her father. When she takes off her shoes, however, she becomes Sancho, reverting back to her "original" personality and having all of her memories. After Canto VII: The Dream Ending, however, while she continues to be Don Quixote, accepting both parts of herself, Sancho is constantly thirsty for blood when the shoes are removed, as she has to feed the kindred below her due to the death of her father.

Mutsumi/Mortis:

This is canon. In the anime Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast, we see Mortis switch out with Mutsumi, and the two have Completely different personalities, refer to their friends differently, and Mortis notably cannot play the guitar unlike Mutsumi who can. The wiki page for Mutsumi even notes that there were once several other alters, but the rest of them had either gone dormant or fused with Mortis.
