One star's glowing by the moon,

Grey dots can't be seen from the ground,

Every brush and glitters, how many do we touch?

Many stay untouched,

Grey letters on white stars, they look like warm hugs,

This dark night, it's like those one of many,

Ways we think we should go, and we should,

But let's take some time, taking a break beside this roadside,

And one litter star is so little,

Like a grey stone in a black soil,

Your today, and tomorrow,

Like one star that's growing everyday,

One grey dot, it grows, and then glitters,

And you did so well today;

A grey dot, what does it do?

Maybe thoughts like this and many,

Going through that space between heart and soul,

But it's okay, let's take time,

Let's watch these stars that's glowing today,

'Cause life goes on,

It takes time, and the tomorrow you want,

It will be on your doorsteps,

After some sleep and sound nights,

One grey dot, it grows it only does, and then glitters,

And you did so well again today,

You're glowing everyday.

For the cynic

Our current cosmic address is a small flying piece of rubble travelling through an endless black void, surrounded inexplicably by seven other pieces of flying rubble.

All of these pieces harmoniously rotate around the same giant fireball without ever crashing into each other, or hurtling themselves into said fireball.

And if that isn’t random enough, out of all those pieces of rubble ours is the only one that sustains an environment that gives life to billions of different life forms, including a multitude of flowering plants and oxygen-giving trees, a plethora of wildlife, and eight billion human beings.

And somehow, you still genuinely think that magic does not exist, that fairytales aren’t real, that the way people find each other at just the right time at just the right moment isn’t the most powerful sorcery. - NIKITA GILL(FIERCE FAIRYTALES)

the moon,

in the moonlight i am swoon,

in awe of how you shine in the midst of the abysmal darkness of the night.

you shine your light on my uncertain path and now i see,

not just where i am going but where i am going to be.

for your light,

is comforting and leaves as the sun dawns a new day.

i always wish that you would stay as your brightness against my skin would never burn,

the harsh rays of the sun i spurn.

my gaze,

hurt in the summer haze.

surely this is just a phase and i wait on when you will shine again, however, patience pays.

the moon,

in the moonlight i am swoon,

dancing with my loved ones to your beautiful tune.

is it too soon? to say i would rather have you and drive smooth under your soft light, cruising through the night.

grabbing on with all my might, holding on all so tight!

we're dancing and the thing is i'm alive. i'm alive and that cannot be taken from me whatever should follow. we are dancing and singing out the words like we wrote them ourselves in my house, upon my wooden linoleum floor and it’s so fucking warm i could die. i look at my sister laughing out the lyrics and she's real, she's living too, and i think how could i. how could i suppose i was incapable of love when you exist. and our father is watching us and smiling from the other room, and my mother is upstairs changing clothes

so she can fall asleep at nine-thirty and we can exchange grins over her snoring frame. they too are breathing their very beings into the world; dismembering themselves for the whole universe. whether i kill myself tomorrow or go on forever through the clouds, nobody can take the life from us now, at this moment. i will always have been alive at this exact second and if another great evil shows itself, or if our mortality stretches out into the vast dark of the future - of the stars and the unknown - i will have lived

now. i will have been living through this sublime transience without end. i may forget the sweat; and the out-of-tune-out-of-time chorus, but the greatest dynasties come from oblivion besides. oh, the brevity of humankind. we will snub it now. we will ignore fate and malevolence, or what they call god. we are dancing and singing and smiling and burning so we are equal to it all. and it is enough. it is enough to feel my blood knocking in my veins; it is enough to clutch at the skin fraught across my wrists - it is all enough.

it is enough to be alive.
