💥HIP HINGING IS HARD... But it's a Road Worth Traveling.💥 _____________________ HIP HINGING IS A FUNCTIONAL MOVE! We all need to learn to have strength and mobility at the hips! A primary reason for training hip strength is so that we DON'T have to move from our low backs as much to accomplish the same movement. _____________________ HINGE FROM YOUR HIPS Here's a series of movements that I find strengthens the hip hinge through repetition! Two steps forward in hip extension, then go for a RIDE on the treadmill as you slide back in hip flexion! _____________________ PROPRIOCEPTIVE FEEDBACK Get the feedback you need to do it right! I find putting a band right at the point which you should be hip hinging is so helpful in feeling WHERE you should be hinging from. Also, the band helps pull the pelvis back into flexion and then you can press forward into the band on the way up to challenge the other part of your hip hinge: hip extension!
