Okay. Now that we have another trailer for S2 of Arcane that recently dropped which revealed a lot more info, I’d like to make a new post of my theories for what’s to come in November;

1. I said before that I don’t think CaitVi will be endgame because of the clashing between them on protecting vs targeting Jinx. At first, in my head I assumed it would be Caitlyn telling Vi she can’t do this, but after watching the trailer and seeing just how broken and angry Caitlyn sounds when she speaks about Jinx, I’m starting to think that Vi will be the one who tells Caitlyn she can’t do this. I know that Vi and Jinx are going to fight, we all know this, but I still strongly believe Vi is going to, to some degree, try and avoid killing her sister. And I think Vi is going to take a step away from Caitlyn in order to make that happen.

2. Sevika will play a much bigger role. We know this from the trailer too. I believe she still thinks back on Vander protecting his kids over the whole of the Undercity, and with Silco gone, believes she can manipulate Jinx into helping Zaun fight Piltover. Silco wanted Zaun to be an independent city, but got wrapped up in being a crime lord with Shimmer and bribing Marcus and all. He was unfocused because of Jinx, and couldn’t accomplish all these bigger things. I believe Sevika sees Jinx as an opportunity to rally the Undercity together and finally do what never happened. But I also believe that Jinx doesn’t want that. I believe Jinx want to cling onto Sevika, the only person (at that moment) who is willing to put their trust into her and hasn’t left her yet. I believe Jinx will only do this because Sevika is getting in her head.

3. At first I thought the show runners weren’t giving any trailer time to Jayce, Viktor and Mel because they died or something. Now I’m thinking it’s because showing any clips of them would give us spoilers. This isn’t really a show theory per say, I just thought it was interesting to note.

4. We know Vi is going to face Warwick. I feel like they’re going to make her kill him, and it’s going to break her to lose him all over again in such a horrific way. We can see her wearing her pit fighting jacket, so that means it happens after she’s done with all of that. I’m pretty sure her pit fighting begins in Act 2. We see her wearing a whole different outfit later on when working with Ekko, while he has Jinx’s paint on him. So that makes me think that happens in Act 3. So that would (possibly) put Vi fighting Warwick in Act 2. I’m trying really hard to piece together the timeline here, but there’s so much going on I’m grasping at crumbs here.

5. Ekko obviously teams up with Jinx, and we see Vi teaming up with Ekko while wearing Jinx’s paint. So that makes me believe that, at some point, Vi and Jinx will be on the same team and (directly or indirectly) work together for something. The only thing I can think of for them to team up for is to help stop whatever the fuck Viktor did. Awakening the Arcane magic or something, I’m still not really sure what he did with the Hexcore but I know Heimerdinger warned him and Jayce about it and that’s definitely gonna be an issue for like, everyone.

6. Ekko is shown for a split second to be fighting the Noxian soldiers. And this is when he’s got Jinx’s paint on his clothes. And his hair is the same as when he’s riding the hoverboard with Vi. Which would mean this is when him and Vi and Jinx are all working together possibly. And if Vi is working with Ekko and Jinx, that would put Vi and Caitlyn on opposing teams. Part of me wants to believe Caitlyn still sees the Undercity as deserving of more and wants to help them, but I also feel that her mother’s death will override her urge to help them.

7. We see someone in the trailer with a blue stone imbedded in their wrist. I think that Jayce. Looks like he’s trying to control the Arcane magic and use it to stop what the Hexcore and Viktor started.

8. Mel. Oh boy. I’m not even sure if I have a full fledged theory for her. Promo pic indicated she was alive, so my theory for her dying was wrong. So I haven’t had much time to think of her placement in S2. She probably won’t be too happy with Ambessa’s decision to go to war, though. But we kinda already knew that.

9. It seems that Jinx cut her hair (and dyed parts of it purple) I’ve seen a lot of movies, tv shows and even read about it in books, where cutting hair is either a sign of letting go, or a sign of new beginnings. I’d say these both apply to her. I think she grew her hair out as sort of a way to cling on to Jinx. Maybe cutting it and dying it and wearing her old childhood paint is her way of letting go of the idea that she’s just Jinx, and maybe embracing Powder as a part of herself again. Maybe she’s accepting herself as both Powder and Jinx. We do see Ekko telling her “Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind.” And it looks like that happens before they officially team up. Her hair still looks the same when he says that to her, so maybe his words really spoke to her.

This thingy. Idk what it’s called so I had to pull up the screenshot. I’ve seen people talking about it, I think this is something that helps him time travel maybe? We see a clip of a younger-looking Ekko fighting, maybe that’s when this goes down? Idk. This is still a bit fuzzy to me.

Those are all the new/ improved theories I have now based on the trailer. Please share your own theories, I love discussing theories. I’m interested to see what everyone else is taking from the trailer.
