"You look like a boy!" Said by our father when we first started cutting our hair short and trying to socially transition more back in 2019. We didn't know how to feel, we weren't sure if it was affirming, or if he was being mean about it, but since we knew him, it was definitely to try and be mean, looking back at it.

"If I get one more piece of mail with that name on it, I'm throwing it in the trash." Said by him when we got a package addressed to Kalen's old name, Alyx (it was spelled Alex at this point). We had to tell our friends to send mail to us under our deadname.

"You need to stop calling her a he, she's a she, and you gave birth to a girl." Said to our mother by him a few days ago, when she was correctly gendering us. We now know that he's the reason she's been misgendering and deadnaming us, it was never out of malicious intent.

These were only things we remember, there were probably more incidents. This is also the same man that told us "I don't care, do what you want, I've given up on you" when we tried opening up more and telling him that we were depressed and su!c!dal. We were 14 when he said this to us, and more recently openly stated he didn't care if we starved ourselves, by saying "Then don't." after we told him "Policing how much I eat makes me not want to eat at all because of how my brain works".

But yet, we get called transphobic and that we're "Invading women's spaces" for reblogging something and expressing discomfort about the thing that popped up, because it was something to do with forcefem. Forcefem is a kink for cis men, however, trans women CAN enjoy it and if it makes them happy, we won't dampen their happiness, we don't like being forcibly feminized because we'rea trans man, we are allowed to express this discomfort.

"You're no better than a cis man" "you're going to hurt women if you keep doing this" "you're invading women's spaces and this isn't about you and your fragile man ego", this was said by a person who uses he/him and is a lesbian. We don't know if they identify as a man, or if they just present more masculine, but are they not also invading women's spaces by exclusively using he/him and identifying as a lesbian? (This particular topic is confusing to us and we mean absolutely no ill intent to the lesbian community by this, however the FtM community seems very strongly that he/him lesbians and transmasc/trans men that identify as lesbians are being invalidating to both lesbians and themselves and that is the puzzling part, because if it's invalidating, why are they so accepted in the lesbian community?)

We have severe dysphoria because we felt shamed to be who we are, and at one point have TRIED to force ourselves to be feminine. We have attempted to forcefem ourselves, we KNOW that we don't like it and that it makes our dysphoria worse to be called a girl, we can state this fact in passing by reblogging something that popped up on our feed.
