*Regulus freezes, STUNNED. Giving his brother a stare so uncomfortably cold it goes to his soul. Reg’s lip even quivers he’s that disturbed.*

*Remus drops his quill, very slowly turns his head and looks at Sirius in the eyes, as if to say: “what did you just say-“*.

*The Ravenclaws at the next table gasp, all clearly staring at Sirius.*

Sirius: *bursts into laughter, falling against Remus’s shoulder* “Merlin’s pants, did you see your face—priceless!”

more Thoughts about the ravenclaws

gilderoy is absolutely the type of person who could get straight Os if he spend even one minute studying- but in his first few years he genuinely didn't see the point and just did on par on all his work and focused on building a public persona and just. kinda being in his own head about how Great he was. but then he started to see how tutoring other people in the subjects he already knew would make everyone see him in a good light, and he's nothing if not an attention seeker. and this has nothing to do with pettigrew, who studies with his friends there every tuesday, of course. pshh who said that.

pandora is either a ravenclaw or a slytherin who's an honorary ravenclaw because she's just so much like them. she's amazing at riddles, and can challenge just about anyone in the school with her amazing knowledge of magical creatures, even the ones no one knows about (that's a conspiracy they're hiding from you. trust pandora). kinda the honorary member of this group, but everyone trusts her intuition because she's never wrong.

rita is the notorius gossip, except no one really knows it's her. they just know there's a lot of gossip that was said behind closed doors, and somehow even the walls seemed to be watching. in reality, it was that little beetle you flicked off your shoulder last wednesday, and she's a bit mad at you for doing that. she lives for the gossip, and, not even in beetle form, she's probably invented numerous spells and potions for both disguise and reconaissance. she was rather intrigued by bellatrix and started almost stalking her, which bellatrix couldn't be happier about.

xenophilius is always in his head or scribbling in that little journal that he carries around everywhere. his eyes are sharp, and even when he looks into your eyes, he seems to be gazing beyond you, or even more terrifyingly, into you. it's like he sees everything and nothing at the same time, and not a lot of people know a lot about him. but his friends? they know that he's a sweetheart, if a little strange, but aren't they all?

emmeline is not what you'd expect from a typical ravenclaw - she puts on a bad girl persona, a bit comparable to marlene, but more grunge rather than punk. but get a little closer, and you'll find a girl who rarely studies, but aces all of her classes all the time. she drives the other ravenclaws insane, and they always gloat if they get a score higher than her in class. she is absolutely a flirt, but she gets pathetically flustered at the sight of mary, though she'll deny that forever.

｡𖦹°‧gilderoy and xeno catch up at luna's parents' evenings and xeno rests his head on roy's shoulder like they used to when they were kids because them as bsfs makes me SILLAY

｡𖦹°‧gilderoy and benjy fake hated each other when they went to school cause they kissed and it was how ben found out he didn't want to date. he envisioned it for more than a second and all the denial went out the window. roy would overreact when ben got affection from the girls like trying their drinks or holding their hands while walking to class to tease him. but they're actually besties.

｡𖦹°‧barty, gilderoy and benjy had discussions with one another whenever kingsley had someone over for a 'sleepover'. gilderoy "I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy" lockhart, benjy "oh, I would. in a heartbeat, bitch" fenwick and barty 'dying with laughter as quietly as physically possible because he didn't know benjy could be so ruthless' crouch jr. xeno would somehow manage to sleep through every single time and would wake up fully refreshed while the rest of them were zombies.

｡𖦹°‧they cuddle up by the fire all together when they lose ANOTHER quidditch match. it's not unexpected, so they just make hot chocolate and cheer each other up with funny stories and card games, as is routine. sybil and pandora always do a tarot reading for their next game too, and the results are never very good.

｡𖦹°‧barty and emmeline fight for the best test scores every year. and neither of them study. it infuriates the rest of the year group to no end, especially when the two of them get near perfect marks.

｡𖦹°‧gilderoy spends an inordinate amount of time on his hair every morning before breakfast. xeno usually stays behind until he's ready to go, but he got bored of the routine quite quickly. "does it look good enough, xeno?"/"sure."/"xenophilius."/"what? oh, does it matter? it's only breakfast and im hungry, roy."/"of course it matters!"/"please, just come on..."

｡𖦹°‧the girls hold biweekly seances in the common room. the only other people allowed in the room at that time are xeno (duh, he joins in) and benjy (cause emmeline says so, and she's queen bee so what she says goes, but he just reads a book on the sofa since there's good ambiance).

｡𖦹°‧aurora and emmeline are best friends and often wear each others clothes and jewellery and sleep in each other's beds and wear matching outfits on the weekends and spend basically every spare minute with each other. many people have asked them over the years if they are dating and they always burst out into laughter because no, that's my best friend, what are you TALKING about?
