This run time sucks but it was nice to squeeze one in after spending the day at the office.

I wasn't sure if I would make it to the gym today because I was busy from 8 am to late at night. But then, my first class was canceled after my lab hours so I used that time to go to the gym on campus.
Some really exciting progress that probably sounds minor is that I did 3 sets of 8 reps of hamstring slide outs. A month or so ago, I couldn't even do 3 reps, let alone a set of them, without my hamstring hurting SO badly.
I also went to my colleges soccer game tonight with my family and it was really fun. I didn't know I would enjoy watching a game so much! I'm not usually that into sports.
The Workout:
Warmup: high knees, butt kicks, twisting lunges, and grapevine
• 3x10 single leg RDLs
• 3x8 hamstring slide outs
• 3x12 shoulder press
• 3x12 pullups
• 3x12 tricep extension
Peep my new workout clothes I bought recently. I'm excited to run in these spandex and see if they hold up. They were only $10. I use to SWEAR by Nike, but I don't like their spandex anymore. I don't know, they just don't fit like the pair I've had for years now.
I'm so picky when it comes to running clothes, I want my exact pair of Nike spandex that I've had for years. 😂 But they must've changed the material or something since then.

I ordered this stamp off etsy for pretty cheap and it's great! So for any fellow organizing obsessed virgos who run (let's be honest it's mostly virgos who want a specific stamp for running to use in their planner/bujo/running journal) this thing is amazing. Also if you're just a big kid like I am, getting to put a stamp somewhere at the end of your run is a great motivator to get out the door
Tumblr it’s been awhile. The last few weeks have been buuuuusssyy. But this smile is the smile of a girl who just crossed the finish line of her third half marathon in 27.5 hours. This was my first dabble in back to back endurance events and it was brilliant! It hurt, a lot, but I spent the weekend surrounded by the most wonderful people and learned just how strong I can be ❤️
Edmonton Marathon 2018 Training (Sub-3:30): Week 8
Hello, it is I
Get ready for a recap of last week! Felt like a great, strong week, so I’m really just hoping I can replicate that this week hahaha
The goal: complete first ultramarathon in February
The method: crush a half next week. Run. Run in the heat, in the rain, in the cold. Run roads and on trails. Trip on roots and fly over rocks. Run until I can’t run another mile. Then run some more.
The complications: concurrently being a full time vet student about to start clinical rotations
The outcome: unknown
Feeling pretty today. Let's go for a short run. 💪😊
