The mate pj's headcanons

Angel - sleeps in their underwear because their skin runs hot so they over heat quickly. No shit they overheat so fast that some nights they don't let David cuddle them and boy does he get grumpy.

Babe - Sleeps in a short silk nightgown. They don't like them feeling of pj so they wear this and they wear the short ones so they don't trip and fall.

Sweetheart - they wear only sweatpants

Sam - boxers. he just gives that vibe

@yunaflxs gave me the idea of Gabe and David roughhousing together and Angel getting to see it

Like imagine Angel and the mates sitting up on the porch while the wolves shift and play around with each other

Gabe wasn't in on it to start but when he comes out and sees his pack playing he can't resist the urge to join in and show them why he's still the alpha

David was in the process of pinning down Tank with Asher on his side trying to push him off. Gabe approached quietly of course, a skilled hunter that never rushes when he's on the prowl. Not shifting until he's right next to David, he joins Asher on the side and together they roll David off of Tank

Gabe's wolf is massive. Bigger than both his sons and Tanks, which means he is the single largest wolf the pack has ever seen. So to watch a wolf that large and powerful run around like a puppy and playing with his son in a way that makes Angel hold their breath

Excitement and a little bit of nervousness in their scent catches David's nose for a second and it distracts him just long enough for Gabe to get the upper hand and slam him down to the soft grass below

Which results in a startled noise from Angel out of concern for their mate. Once the excitement does down a little all the mates make their way down to the grass so they can play in a more gentle manner with their wolves

And finally Angel is able to get face to face with the giant grinning wolf faces of their mate and his dad. Gabe loves Angel, he thinks they're one of the best things to have happened to the pack in a long time. Which is exactly why he nudges them with his nose before pushing them over into a bush and howls with laughter at David's startled reaction

The poor man not sure if he should go after his mate and help them up, or tackle the wolf that did it to them in the first place

And the pack has a lovely evening of playing around

When Anton and Love join the Pack, I can already imagine Angel, Sweetheart, and Baaabe dragging Love around to join them to convince Sam into the little hangout sessions.

Like it was bad enough that Angel, Sweetheart, and Baaabe were giving the vamp the pitiful eyes to guilt him in, now he just has one more doing it.

I'm also just getting the visual of my Columbian Angel, my French-Egyptian Sweetheart, and my Dominican Love standing with my White as Fuck Baaabe. The thought is so funny to me.

Update on the Tallest vs Shortest out of the mates:

Do you think the mates knew about what Lovely went through with Adam, before the Summit?

Darlin possibly learned about it, I'd imagine. Either through Sam, or through Loveky themselves. Or maybe even as they were hunting down Quinn, because what happened with Lovely happened not long before Quinn came through and nearly killed Fred and Bright. And Adam's death very clearly made waves, seeing as Christopher Bennett and Porter knew (or Porter at least found out not long after returning to Dahlia...which, depending on when he heard, might make his lie meant to stress Vincent out even worse if he knew what Lovely went through). And I'd imagine maybe the Shaw pack heard through the grapevine? Maybe Sweetheart, I'd imagine the Department would catch wind of a latent whose powers were awakened after being tortured by a vampire for 24 hours, and then killed by a clan prince. Meeting Lovely, putting two and two together, Sweetheart would've figured it out.

But Babe and Angel? I don't know. Because I'm listening to the Summit trial again, and I'm thinking if it's their first time hearing about it when Vincent says he killed Adam for torturing Lovely, not because Adam "got in his way." Just imagining them looking at this still somewhat new vampire, who was once just an unempowered uninformed human like them, and it kinda just clicks like "Oh my god-"

But then I also feel bad for Lovely, because their trauma was brought up out of the blue, used to accuse their boyfriend in a trial. Not just by some vampire who was being and still is and asshole, but a guy who later turned out to be connected to the event that resulted in them dying in their boyfriend's arms and consenting to being turned, that made them believe they had lost the powers they had become so invested with.

Lovely deserves to punch more people. Fuck you, Christopher.
