I think the side of reposting art that we don’t talk about enough is people reblogging posts with no credit. Like if you care about your artists don’t follow blogs that post images with no credit, don’t reblog art with no link back to the artist who made it, ask for credit, call them out on their shit. The only way to make stealing art less socially acceptable is to make the people who repost art with no credit/permission uncomfortable.

So many people I follow just reblog cool art without thinking about whether the op is actually the person who made it and it drives me nuts.

I’m really not a fan of reposting but on some websites, it’s really difficult to prevent it. So, in short:

Tumblr + Deviant Art: No way, no reposting, even with credit. I have my Tumblr, I post my art here so, it’s easy to reblog it instead of reposting it.

Instagram, Twitter and FB: yes with credit but please don’t remove my watermark and don’t crop my art. For the credit: Twitter: PetiteMadame and Instagram: petite_madame

Lofter, Weibo and other Chinese social networks: yes, even artworks from Tumblr because Tumblr, Instagram, etc…are blocked in China (as far as I know, that’s what people told me)

Use of my art for edits: No, never, under any circumstances. I hate edits, my artworks are not stock images so please, no edits.

Let's get something out of the way

I do not wish for my art to be reposted, even less without permission.

I get that you do it because you like it, but you gotta understand that you are not helping me by doing so. I have a Tumblr, a Facebook page, Twitter AND Instagram account so if like my drawings, give'em a little heart and, if you want, leave a comment (retweets/reblogs are also appreciated, those do help), but don’t repost them pleeaaase.

An instagram acc reposted one of my drawings and it has 1000 likes whereas the one in my acc has 30 :/ so unless you repost them with a direct link to my whatever social media WITH MY PERMISSION pleaaaase do not repost it

Pd: I’ve already asked the account to please take down my drawing, we’ll see how that goes.
