Still working on drawing as much as I can in a set set time. Going well for just deciding not to do things as detailed as usual and to practice getting values right quicker. So now I have a small collection of how long it takes me to do stuff (festuring some older drawongs).
1 hour (yeah ik the image says 1.5 but once my timer goes off I take a max of 30min to make it look more complete instead of have a section that looks untouched (unless its the second image then i was going to do 2 hours but then i didnt want to draw scales at 10pm))

Thinking about opening comms based off time spent max probably 6 hours. I set a min acceptable price per hour and then leave it open so if y'all think its worth more than for example $20 then you can give what you think is appropriate for your drawing. At least until I got art more consistently.
I cant keep waiting until I have time to finish my 20+ hour drawing there's cons I want to go to, contests I'd like to enter, and long term projects I'd like to do that I will never get close to doing if I keep waiting until I have enough 20 hour pieces done.
what kills me about runaways s2 is that nico spent two YEARS convinced that amy had killed herself and she'd missed the signs... and so when she started noticing similar signs in karolina (mood changes, lying, disappearing, isolation) it made sense that she immediately assumed the worst. she couldn't risk losing karolina like she'd lost amy, so she tried to help karolina in the ways that she couldn't help amy- and ended up pushing karolina further away in the process.
imo karolina's "i can't spend every single second with you" was out of line, especially with nico being as scared as she was, but at the same time they're both just kids learning to navigate all these new emotions... i still think nico was owed an apology but !!
rewatching the runaway's hulu show is interesting because i'm genuinely more interested in what the parents are doing.

Marvel Rare Pair Bingo Summer Round Up Pt. 2
Hey everyone! It's summer time and the season's just heating up and so are we with these great submissions that have come our way in this Part Two (from the posts on Tumblr) round up for our 3rd round bingo. Things are getting close to winding up as we head into a 4th round near the end of the summer, so stay tuned for more from us about that in the future. For now, however, enjoy these hot new works under the cut from our participants. They promise to a scorcher in the summer sun!

Imaginary MCU shows: “Wong”, a limited series
Set-up for the series:
Following the events of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, Doctor Strange decides to stay with Wanda and Loki in the null-time zone (where the TVA is located). This is because he needs to work with Loki and Wanda to prepare for Kang the Conqueror’s arrival. Without a Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU, Strange asks Wong to take over, which he accepts. Wong returns to the MCU’s Sanctum Sanctorum, leading into his miniseries.
General plot for the series:
A few days into his tenure as Sorcerer Supreme, Wong learns that the Tokyo Sanctum Sanctorum has been destroyed by an unknown force. When he goes to investigate, he learns that most of the Tokyo sorcerers have been slaughtered, including the leaders Tina Minoru and her husband Robert. Wong only finds one survivor; Tina and Robert’s daughter, the amateur sorceress Nico Minoru.
Wong takes Nico back to the New York Sanctum Sanctorum, which kickstarts the main plot of the series. Wong is trying to find out who destroyed the Tokyo Sanctum Sanctorum and Nico is seeking to avenge her parents. The two of them form a mentor-mentee relationship, with Wong trying to keep the revenge-obsessed teenager in check while also helping her reach her full potential.
(I’d say the closest comparison to Nico and Wong’s relationship would be Uncle Iroh and Prince Zuko)
The main villain of the series is revealed to be Kaluu, an ancient sorcerer who was the Ancient One’s best friend-turned-archenemy. Just like the Ancient One, Kaluu used energy from the Dark Dimension to extend his lifespan. Ancient One and Kaluu fought for years but, eventually, Kaluu lost after one last magic duel that took place during World War I (insert cool flashback sequence here).
The reason why he attacked the Tokyo Sanctum Sanctorum was because he wanted to destroy all traces of the Ancient One’s legacy. Nico’s family weren’t targeted, they were just victims of Kaluu’s path of revenge.
(in case this isn’t obvious, the theme of the show is revenge since Nico is going after Kaluu to avenge her family, while Kaluu is going after the Sanctum Sanctorums to avenge his defeat to the Ancient One)
Main cast:
1) Benedict Wong as Wong
2) Either Lyrica Okano reprises her role as Nico Minoru or the character is recast with Anna Sawai (Elle from Fast and Furious 9)
3) BD Wong as Kaluu
Side note:
The “Runaways” TV show takes place in a separate universe from the MCU. So the version of Nico Minoru we see here is different from the one in the show.
