Character Bases

Tanner’s distinct eyes were inspired by quite a few Adventure Time characters, namely Jake, but I don’t have that kind of space.

Development

Tanner’s personality remained largely constant; it’s his design that changed. He was designed as an adult, unlike most of the initial cast, but was actually aged down for Rough Sketch.

It actually makes for sort of a whiplash when Tanner’s suddenly twice his size practically between seasons.

The only difference now is that his hair is done up in a style easier to draw.
