Don’t get me wrong, I love being aroace 99% of the time. But sometimes I wish I was a lesbian. That it might be a little bit easier. Not in the toxic straight girl going “wow I wish I was a lesbian, boys suck” kind of way. But in the “sometimes it’s just a lot being sapphic oriented aroace. Having the attraction but simultaneously also not having it, liking girls but not ever having the capacity to date one (not that I really want to in reality a lot of the time)” way

It would just be simpler. Being attracted to girls. And that’s it, no “oh she’s hot, and in theory dating a girl would be nice, but in reality that’s not how it works because I don’t feel that attraction”

No having to explain to my friends that “yeah, that masc girl on the other basketball team was hot and I was staring at her half of the time, but I’m not disappointed she has a girlfriend because at the same time, I’m aroace, it was never going to happen, I’m not attracted to her, I just think she’s hot.”

A lot of traits I’m aesthetically attracted to are traits I also think are pretty or cool on myself. Me being sapphic often goes hand in hand with self love and I think that’s pretty cool.
