What does casita say to everyone when it takes its human form after Antonio gift ceremony?
"I've never been so disappointed in someone in my 50 years of living" casita is seething she never really had a reason to be disappointed in someone until her twins were born.
She saw everybody including Alma for what they really were...Monsters.
Antonio's ceremony was grand until the twins walked him to his door. No one was eyeing them more than the gifted madrigals. The look of disgust and annoyance made the twins want to shrivel up and die.
When he touched his door the light faded into dust and there was a loud gasp from everybody.
"the twins are cursed get them out of here"
the villagers were shouting at the twins and pointing at them as if they had done something wrong. Pepa pulled Antonio away from the twins and held him close to her. He was highly protesting this, just the other day she shouted at him for being a "pest" and now she cared?
the abuse started early for Antonio. He was only four when he was smacked by his older sister, yelled at by his older brother, screamed at by his mother, and thrown by Isabela with her vines. It wasn't a far throw but it did leave skid marks on his knees and chin.
The twins told him that after he got a gift everything would be ok but he didn't believe that. From an early age, he knew this wasn't a normal way to treat a child but he picked up not talking about it from his parents cousins.
Casita was finally done with her form but what was that sound outside? she went through Alma's door and saw the chaos that was about to happen. She wouldn't let it happen, she couldn't, she's been quiet long enough.
"ENOUGH" she shouted she didn't care for Dolores's ears her gift was almost gone anyway.
Everybody looked towards the sound and there she was Casita in her true form walking past the madrigals and stopping to look at her twins. The madrigals know who this is without even speaking.
"mama" Antonio beamed he tried to get out of Pepa's grasp but she was in shock about what she was seeing. Casita saw him squirm so she walked over to Pepa and yanked Antonio away from her. Antoni relaxed in her arms
"you don't deserve to be a mother Pepa and you don't deserve your gift," She said calmly but sternly
She looked over to her twins and walked closer to them.
"tell me Nino y Nina do they hurt you when you are away from me?" She looked them in the eyes with so much concern in her eyes.
"Mama is what they do normal?" Antonio looked her in the eyes
She was pissed, she was angry, she was flabbergasted. Did they hurt little Antonio too? no, they couldn't have he's only five. She looked at his parents and then his siblings on the bottom floor.
"monsters all of you" she mumbled
"Casita...there must be a mis-" before she could get another word out Casita cut her off
"DON'T YOU TALK TO ME, for years you treated my twins like they were nothing but scum at the bottom of your shoe" She snapped at Alma, she just entirely snapped
"How could you, HOW COULD ANY OF YOU STAND BY AND WATCH, AND TORMENT, AND ABUSE TWO NO THREE CHILDREN WHO DID NOTHING BUT JUST EXIST" steam was coming out of her mouth and her eyes were glowing yellow flame-sh color.
"I don't know what could drive you to do such a thing, why did you do it, why, why would you abuse CHILDREN-" She was cut off by Alma
"I will not stand by and be accu" Casita was only 4 feet away...so enough distance to walk over and slap her and she did(with Antonio still in her arms by the way)
Alma stumbled back in shock. She covered the cheek she was slapped in by her hand.
"you don't have any right to speak NONE OF YOU DO so all of you are going to stay here AND LISTEN" Casita glowed and the house began to tremble and shiver.
"you don't deserve this family Alma and you never deserved Pedro" she loomed over Alma with the look of "I'm going to kill you" on her face.
Casita focused her attention on the twins and Antonio again.
"did the townspeople ever hurt you?" she gave them a stern look. they looked at each other they know there was no point in lying "Si Casita" they said in unison.
She then walked toward the stairs and focused her attention on the townspeople.
"Pedro wasn't worth the sacrifice HE WASN'T WORTH ANY OF IT" she shouted again
"I HOPE YOU ALL BURN IN HELL FOR HURTING MY BEBES I HOPE YOU ALL BUUUURN" she screamed the loudest scream humanly possible. But then again she's not human so it was way louder than humanly possible.
She moved the tiles under their feet and shoved all the villagers out of the house with a loud "AND STAY OUT" she then made the floorboards move all the madrigals to the center of the house with all their eyes on her.
Isabela had the nerve to cry...
"oh no don't cry don't cry, let me ask you something did you cry when you hurt them?" she asked Isabela politely and sweetly
Isabela looked up at her with a gasp, she knew the answer.
"if anyone deserves to be hurt it's you" Casita made a vine punch isa in the face. She fell back to the ground
"Luisa, Felix, Julieta, Agustin tell me you never hurt them PLEASE" she pleaded
"no never" Julieta reassured her with frightened eyes
"no, but I never helped when I should have" Felix looked down at his shoes
Casita moved the three away from the group but never looked away from the rest of the gifted madrigals. She put Antonio down and told him to go up to his parents Miguel and Mirabel.
"the only reason you aren't dead is that Mi Nino's are here" she smiled at them but this smile looked blood-curdling. The smile stretched ear to ear and her eyes were plain white.
This look made the madrigals shiver in fear and their skin tones were close to cotton. Pepa was sickly pale.
"Tell me, was it because they didn't have a gift? was it...jealousy? she knew full well what it was but she wanted to see their faces and if they would tell the truth or not.
Alma was about to open her mouth...
"YOU DON'T TALK TO ME YOU LET ALL OF THIS HAPPEN JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE GIFTS YOU LET BRUNO RUN AND HIDE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T MEET YOUR WORK SLAVE STANDARDS" Casita was slightly shaking with anger and fury she could just end their lives right her but she couldn't.
"If I ever see you around this house or the Encanto I will personally strike you down where you stand. Camilo sense your the youngest I won't kill you but that doesn't mean you have my mercy" she looked the boy in the eye to make sure he knew what she meant. Just because he's a kid doesn't mean she won't rip off a limb or two.
"oh and my name is vela" and with that, she moved the tiles under their feet and shoved them all out of the house. She doesn't care how they landed she hopes they landed hard enough to cause a concussion.
She walked back up the stairs and met her twins again. They were cowering and holding each other's hands. Obviously confused about and shocked about what just happened. Casita looks at the candle, then at the door, and then at the twins, She's hinting at something.
The twins + Antonio walk over to the door. It's Antonio's birthday so, of course, he goes first. His door lights up again and a toucan lands on his shoulder. Not even two seconds later a bunch of animals runs into the house.
"Are you ready Ninos," she asked kindly
There right in front of them were too shining doors just waiting for them to open them. Mirabel and Miguel are in sad and happy tears. Antonio doesn't understand but he figures it must be a grown-up thing.
Mirabel walks up to her door and turns the knob. She opens the door and sees sewing thread and cloth of all kinds in this room. She has the gift of making whatever kind of clothing she wants without the extra work. All she has to do is think of the dress and the clothes just put themselves together
Miguel was next he was a little reluctant but he went through with It. His gift is making any type of food appear, food generation. not only that but he can also make food people. They greeted him after he opened his door. God knows how many meals he and Mirabel have skipped in their lifetime.
It was some work but Bruno finally came out of the walls to greet his niece and nephews and to see his sister again. He was a little nervous but happy nonetheless. And so was Casita, her brunito was home once again and not in the walls.
Finally, the twins were at peace and happy in their lives.
