On Side pairings

Like obviously I love reading fics with my main ship as the main pairing but sometimes it’s just so fun when they’re the side pairing. Seeing them from another characters perspective in such a casual and natural way.

Especially when said other character is part of my other ship and learns something from my main ship, that they never thought about before. Maybe a certain passion, maybe a certain directness, like a (cruel) mirror of what they could have if they just get their shit together as well.

Did I go into this AU thinking I was going to make this ship happen? Not at all. Did it drag itself out of my head kicking and screaming and completely unbidden yesterday while I was at work? Yep. Do I ship it so hard my whole heart clenches with uwus at the thought of it now?
