Notes: Oh my God! Thank you all so much for getting me to 100 followers! I haven’t even really been active until just recently, even though I started on Tumblr years ago, and I wasn't expecting to even get a NOTE on any of my works. Now we're at 100 FOLLOWERS!!!!! This is so surreal... Thank you to everyone that’s been loving my works and commenting such nice things too! - Went to college for something specific. Didn't matter where it was, but they did it and graduated with the degree. Most likely a psychology or counseling degree.

- Your considered the outsider most of the time. Even if you're around a group of friends you had for years, you would still be the odd one out. Your the one that always creates crazy ideas of fun and are okay with taking risks as long as you don’t end up in danger. 

- Throwing other people under the bus your fine with too, but only to certain people you don't care for. 

- You speak your mind when you 100% know the answer, but if theres even an inkling you’ll be wrong you’ll stay quiet.

- Best core subjects were science and language arts. 

- Depends what the task is, but you would be the leader most of the time. If it involved anything too physical or tedious, you probably stay on the side lines for this one. 

- The more people around you the better, but not all the time. Sometimes doing things by yourself is just as fine as being around multiple people, but your not exactly a loner either. 

- Not everyone trusts you for past occurrences, but they also rather be by you because your intelligent in certain aspects of life.

Clubs ♣️

- People with the same speciality: Momoka Inoue, Ginji Kyūma, Asahi Kujō, Kōdai Tatta, Yūji Mahiru, Uta Kisaragi.

- College wasn't always your priority, but if you needed to go then you did. Have a pretty simple job like in a business or anything that involves a lot of people.

- In any type of group, you fit right in. Always the charismatic and talkative one too. It's easy for you to make friends or make someone that’s considered a loner talk to you.

- You thrive in groups and hate being alone for long. Group projects were your favorite type of homework growing up.

- You're not the smartest or strongest of the group, but you try to help in any way you can. Taking risks is apart of your personality. You don't want to wait around for an answer when you can just wing it and hope for the best.

- You do speak your mind a lot, but if there was a conversation going on that strongly didn't involve you then you’ll stay quiet. Most people will be surprised that you didn’t give at least one opinion the entire time.

- Best core subjects: Lunch... because you don't learn about anything you don't care about and can be with your friends.

- You don't consider yourself a leader even if your the most talkative of the bunch. You rather be the follower or the leaders right hand man. Someone everyone trusts and wants to talk to with their problems. 

- The more people around you the happier you’ll be. You just LOVE people! You’ll always be seen around at least one person. It will be a very rare scene if you're found by yourself.

Day six of work experience. Or if we're keeping up with the trend of my previous post, it is day two of week two.

For today, and the remainder of the week, I am remaining with the ENT department because there is still so much to see. However, today in the inpatient procedure clinic, it was not too busy as at all. We only managed to see four patients, so I might be able to write less on this post :D

The first case was rare, even the consultant mentioned that a consultant only sees one or two of these in their lifetime. The rarity I am describing is singer's dystonia. A neurological disorder that causes vocal instability during singing only as the vocal chords spasm. This often results in the singer being unable to reach the high pitches they used to hit in the early years of their career. And it is unfixable by technique. Thus, the consultant decided for some temporary injections in order to relax the vocal cords for greater coordination, allowing the singer to immediately reach higher notes. On the other hand, as a result, her range of lower notes was slightly misaligned. After some voice rest (typically 3 days), as with any vocal chord procedure, the patient would be able to return to practice.

The cause of dystonia is unknown and the singer is likely to require similar procedures in the future - likely a couple of months if they are considering to continue their professional career.

The second patient was admitted again for a laser treatment due to his RRP (recurrent respiratory papillomatosis) that has caused benign wart-like growths on the vocal chords and surrounding tissue. Vocal chords were not able to adduct (close) fully because of this obstruction so the patient had a lower, whispering tone. HPV is the source of the problem, where benign tumours tend to recur as the virus persists even after the growth has been removed.

A CO2 laser removes carefully the lesions temporarily without damaging the underlying vocal chords, it does not treat the underlying cause: HPV. Multiple surgeries are recommended to minimise the effect of RRP on the voice box.

The last two procedures were basic of nature. Biopsies were taken to check for cancerous or precancerous cells later in the lab. If of that nature, the patients would be informed for laser treatment and managed with the oncology team.

Before each admission, a nebuliser was given to each patient to provide general anaesthetics and numb the area. Typically, the patient experiences minimal discomfort when the endoscope is lowered with the following required equipment.

Cocineros Celestiales

Cocineros Celestiales era el reality culinario más popular de los últimos años. Luo Binghe había intentado ganar un lugar en el programa desde que tenía quince años, pero nunca había conseguido avanzar más allá del segundo filtro. En su tercer año, durante las pruebas de ese temido segundo filtro y mientras observaba a uno de los examinadores probar su plato, pudo sentir como el sudor frío resbalaba por su espalda.

Su madre había sido muy comprensiva con él, apoyándolo y motivándolo a seguir su sueño de convertirse en chef profesional, pero él sabía el enorme esfuerzo que suponía para ella conseguir el dinero para enviarlo a cada una de esas pruebas. Siendo una humilde lavandera, cada centavo que gastaba en su sueño era dinero que podían haber usado para comer un mes completo. Por eso, se había prometido a sí mismo que esta sería la última vez. Si no era seleccionado ese año, no volvería a intentarlo.

Ya había pasado por las pruebas regionales y, ahora, el momento de la verdad había llegado. Si conseguía pasar este filtro, su lugar en el programa estaría asegurado, al igual que su sueño de estudiar en una buena escuela, pues este reality, además de ofrecer bastante experiencia culinaria, también servía como plataforma para incorporarse a los más prestigiosos colegios de gastronomía del país. Se había preparado tanto para este momento, que casi podía sentir la ansiedad corriendo por sus venas.

El examinador terminó el bocado, lo miró en silencio, bajó la cuchara y avanzó hacia la siguiente estación. Sin decir una sola palabra respecto al plato de Luo Binghe. Los examinadores eran los mismos año tras año, por lo que ya los conocía a todos y sabía que no recibiría ningún comentario, sin embargo, no lograba acostumbrarse a la sensación de ser juzgado en cada visita.

Solo faltaba un examinador más, un último crítico que probaría su comida antes de que todo hubiera terminado y pudiera volver a respirar. El último chef siempre había sido particularmente difícil de tratar. Un hombre de edad avanzada que lo miraba con fastidio y, en el momento en que probaba sus platos, fruncía el ceño como si fuera lo peor que hubiera probado en la vida, tan solo para, inmediatamente después, alejarse entre murmullos sobre por qué los niños no deberían jugar en la cocina. Era siempre un duro golpe para su autoestima, pero siendo su tercer intento, confiaba en que esta vez estaría preparado para enfrentar sus duras críticas.

Entonces, la primera sorpresa llegó. Ese año, un joven que no parecía mucho mayor que él se detuvo en su estación, le sonrió con calidez y lo saludó con una voz suave y elegante.

—¿Qué tenemos aquí? —preguntó, mirándolo con curiosidad mientras se acercaba para leer el nombre en su hoja de participación. —Luo Binghe, ¿no eres muy joven para estar en el programa?
