sooooo guess who just finished bsd!!

i dont think ill ever love an anime as much as i loved this one. this has such a special place in my heart and the characters from here have got to be some of my favorites of all time.

i js wanted to share some of my thoughts on what i js watched so yeah

SPOILERS FOR BSD S5 ⚠️

im overall very content with that ending

i loved the skk, the fukuchi and fukuzawa backstories and discussions, seeing the ada all be alive and okay (thank goodness), and sskk moment at the very end was cool too

speaking of that, why a cliffhanger? why? I THOUGHT WE WERE DONE AND FREEEEEE

i am excited tho for a s6!!!!

fyodor's death felt a little anticlimatic, but i think thats actually a great conclusion to his character

js showing that even though u can plan as much as u want and have every piece played perfectly, there's still some things that can come as unexpected, and those things can be what ultimately lead to your demise

so yeah i think for all the fyodor drama and action we've had, just a simple(ish) death and hearing him say my god why have u forsaken me was rlly all we needed to close on his chapter

i really loved how there were pretty much 3-4 active plots going on at the same time (fyodor + dazai, aya + bram, fukuchi, ada/hunting dogs), it kept me so engaged and i was honestly pretty equally invested in all of them

my one thing is that i wish fukuchi died much earlier. like it was getting to a point where i was really fed up w seeing him die, turn back time, and then somehow survive.

i was talking to @redfox-44 about this and she said it so well: its like when as kids you would play a game and the other person would just keep coming up with rules and exceptions and bonus things to make them win

thats what fukuchi was like for me.

ALSO i rlly missed the port mafia

i know we had chuuya and let me say that his plot twist was so cool like omg the teeth and the contacts ARGH hes amazing

and that also gave me the scraps of skk that i'd been needing for so long

however i really missed js the port mafia as a whole

i also rlly want to know if tachihara is still alive!! he actually became i character i rlly loved and i really really hope he's alive

OH AND JOUNO??? WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM??? MY FAVE HUNTING DOG

teruko kinda pissed me off sometimes but overall especially after the ending i respect her a bit

tetchou is still so extremely fine and him and suegiku is suchhh a good ship omggg

i rlly loved tetchou and kenji's moment tho theyre both so sweet

like seeing them introduce themselves while just lying on the rubble healed something in my heart

i love kenji i love kenji i love kenji most underrated bsd character ever

on the topic of the ada what was kyouka doing the whole time?? what happened to ango? what did yosano do? what happened to like idk naomi and the cat guy?

yeah i think because there were so many characters it was hard to keep all of them important and heavily involved especially as the seasons went by

like i had a whole document with everyones names and abilities and theres SO MANY lemme tell u that

oh and regarding nikolai and sigma?

i've always felt so bad for sigma like imagine being created for the purpose of serving someone else and aiding them in just one part of their plan

and then constantly being manipulated by organization after organization

and finally feeling like you have a home and something you've worked so hard to run and create just to have it completely stripped away from you

THEN u get tossed into business that isn't even yours and end up being put into a coma because of it

i really hope he wakes up and dazai gives him the longest explanation and apology

for nikolai i feel... kinda bad? he technically got what he wanted but i dont know if that's TRULY what he wanted ykwim?

it's a shame he's the only decay of the angels member left alive and breathing and conscious.

i rlly need an epilogue to clear everything up, just see everyone reunited and happy, get answers to some of my questions, all that

but for now im so satisfied with this whole show and im so glad i finally got to watch it <3

you don’t remember much from before the separation, only fragments, voices, movement, and the feeling of being held onto too tightly before everything changed.

so meeting him again feels unreal at first.

he smiles like he already knows you. like he’s been waiting for you to catch up.

“you got taller,” he says lightly.

you nod awkwardly.

you don’t know how to act around him yet, so you just watch.

you start telling people things like “my brother is really smart” in a quiet voice, like it’s a secret you’re not supposed to say too proudly.

he hears it anyway.

of course he does.

one day, you’re hovering near his room too long, staring at his coat and the bandages on his arms.

he tilts his head. “are you trying to steal something?”

you panic immediately. “no- I just-”

you hesitate, then admit softly, “i was curious.”

he stares at you for a second.

then sighs dramatically.

“you could’ve just asked.”

you freeze.

“…i didn’t want to bother you.”

that makes him pause.

then he steps aside.

“come in,” he says.

no teasing this time. just letting you see.

and for once, he doesn’t make you feel like you’re intruding.

you’re not subtle about how much you admire him.

you think you are, but you’re not.

he notices everything immediately.

the way you linger when he talks. the way you quietly agree with everything he says. the way you tell people, “my brother is really smart,” like it’s something obvious and important.

he pretends not to care.

he absolutely cares.

one day, he catches you near his candy stash.

you freeze instantly.

he squints. “you’re stealing my snacks?”

you shake your head fast. “no- I just like them…”

there’s a pause.

then he sighs like this is a very simple problem.

“you could’ve just asked.”

he shoves a bag of candy into your hands.

you blink. “really?”

“obviously,” he says. “you’re my sister.”

you stop trying to sneak things after that.

he just starts giving you things instead like it was never a question.

꒰ saigiku jouno ꒱

he notices you immediately.

he always does.

you don’t think you’re obvious, but you are, especially when you keep looking at his uniform and weapons like you’re trying to understand something important.

he catches you once standing too long near the hunting dogs base.

“…are you lost?” he asks.

you shake your head quickly.

you don’t say you were just curious.

he already knows.

later, inside, he notices your gaze drifting again.

“…you’re looking at it,” he says flatly.

you freeze. “sorry-i just-”

“do you want to see it?” he interrupts.

you blink.

“…can i?”

a pause.

then he hands it over calmly. like it’s nothing.

“don’t drop it,” he says.

you hold it carefully, way too carefully.

he watches you the entire time.

“you’re tense,” he notes.

“…it’s sharp.”

“yes.”

you glance up. “aren’t you worried?”

he tilts his head slightly.

“no,” he says simply. “you’re my sister.”

like that explains everything.

and somehow, it does.

he doesn’t question your presence.

you start following him around naturally, and he just… allows it.

like it’s part of the routine now.

you watch him train. watch him work. watch him stand still for long periods like he’s thinking too deeply about something.

he never tells you to leave.

he just says, “remain close.”

you do.

one day, you ask to try on part of his uniform.

he pauses.

“…for what purpose?” he asks.

you hesitate. “i just wanted to see.”

he nods once.

“understood.”

he lets you wear it.

you stand there awkwardly, overwhelmed by how heavy it feels.

“it suits you,” he says.

you blink. “it does?”

“yes.”

no hesitation. no joke. just fact.

after that, he starts showing you things without being asked. how things work. how to move safely. how to observe carefully.

he never warns you emotionally.

he instructs you calmly.

“stay near me.”

“do not separate.”

“observe.”

you listen.

because you trust him.

and when something dangerous comes up, and you hesitate for a moment, he just looks at you and asks, “do you wish to continue?”

you nod.

“then proceed,” he says.

and he stays right beside you the entire time.
