I need a Jon Kent story about him trying to crack a case about a shady lab/company through infiltration and somehow everything going wrong but at the same time right?

Like he aimed to be seen as an intern but somehow they confuse him with a senior engineer so he needs to pretend to be an expert?? And give instructions??? And do a demonstration for the board????

Of course this means he needs to gain access to the files, so he could just copy them and skedaddle, right? WRONG. For some reason the main files are corrupted which is why they asked the guy he is supplanting to come in the first place bc he only had the one file bc he’s a paranoid that only trusts in his own head. So now Jon has to scramble to fill in the blanks on what he sees while trying to find a way to get out that doesn’t raise an alarm, bc of course he has an entourage following his every move and he can’t really super speed his way out without breaking something.

He’s multitasking, reading everything as fast as he can while also trying to surreptitiously get ANYONE to create a distraction so he can somehow jump ship before he has to go before the board.

Just… Jon going through the worst/best infiltration job ever which helps him bring out/polish certain abilities he’s not able to use so often.

“Leo, have you seen Gladiator?” Rob asks, depositing two boxes of pizza onto the coffee table.

Leo hesitantly reaches for a slice, careful to pick a small one, and shakes his head as Rob grabs the remote.

“It’s an absolute banger from like ninety years ago. Do you think it would be tough to watch?” he continues, selecting his own piece. As he does, he wordlessly stacks another slice onto Leo’s plate and fills his cup with soda. “Drink that,” Rob says. “Doctors agree it’s a health food.”

Leo smiles and shakes his head, and Rob bumps his shoulder into Leo’s, taking the cup for himself. “Suit yourself,” he says.

“Is it…” Leo asks, reading the description of the movie. “Is it very graphic? Do you think I’ll be okay?”

In reality, neither of them know. At this point, Rob is, at least generally, aware of Leo’s past. Still, he doesn’t know the details of Ivan’s contract, but, Leo thinks, he’s probably pieced enough of it together from the details that Leo has shared.

“Well,” Rob says. “There’s the slavery, then there’s the sexual assault, and then there’s the forcing people to fight each other, sometimes to the death, for the entertainment of the rich…” He trails off, narrowing his eyes, and picks a different movie.
