This ship has been bugging me for days now. Supers and bats just have the best dynamics.
I love these boys so much.
Brucie Wayne, talking to Superboy: "Let me tell you this, Conner: While you're busy playing checkers. I'm fucking your dad"
Tim: *spit-taking* "You can't say that"
Conner: "What?"
Tim: "You are not..."
Conner: "Which one?"
Bruce: just grinning and turning away
Tim: "You are not!"
Okay, .2 seconds before I explode. But Tim Drake and Kon El Kent with swapped aesthetics. (Well, swapped adjacent.)
Kon-El has a more casual style, even sometimes leaning into jocky or sporty clothes for ease and comfort. He’ll be caught in athletic shorts and a tank under his zip up jacket any day. Jeans and a hoodie, keep it simple.
Tim Drake is an emo kid grown up into a punk. He has to be told not to wear anything with spikes too high on his body, because the press would have a field day. (He wears “worse” by Bruce’s standards, anyway. The press can say what they want about his style.) He wears docs to galas, and only owns one or two blazers without patches and pins.
You know, I haven't said it here, but like… I'm kind of lonely and all that. So. I'm gonna share a bunch of details about my AU with Jay-Jay. I already have two chapters up on AO3, so I'll try to tell you things I couldn't really convey there.
Yes, Tim spent a year and a half with the Joker. He was 13 when he was taken.
Yes,for the first six months, he sent out signals and tried to write to Bruce and Dick. They'd had a fight before that, and both thought Tim needed time to 'find himself' and all that.
When faking Tim's death, the Joker intentionally left several mistakes. So that later, when the truth came out, Bruce and Dick would feel even more guilty for not figuring it out right away.
"Funny Family"has 105 episodes, 25 minutes each, with its own opening credits. That's 44 hours of pure torture (of course, not everything was filmed), shown through satire of popular 2000s Disney Channel-style sitcoms.
In this fic, Superman didn't die. Project "Eclipse" was developed by Lex for the sole purpose of knocking Superman off his pedestal of public adoration at the right moment, so he could do whatever he wanted afterwards.
A bit about Con:
He's much more sensitive and emotional than in canon.I feel like DC dropped the ball on a few things with him. Because if you say: "he's too emotional, doesn't respond to normal control, and doesn't follow orders" – it should actually be like that. None of us know how a Kryptonian psyche works. If their pain tolerance and physical vulnerabilities are negligible, why would we assume their psychology works like a human's? (You can theorize about what I mean by that, because I can't say more right now.)
One of my favorite details about Con: his hypersensitivity is insane because all sensations hit him at once. He didn't learn to live gradually like Clark; he just came out of the lab and started hearing and feeling everything around him, which overloaded his brain so badly that the first three times, he just passed out from sensory overload. Answering questions in advance: yes, Con will use various kinds of sensory 'dampeners' for sound and everything else for the rest of his life. They'll just evolve over time.
The first thing Con ever got for himself, as Con—not as Superboy or Subject Thirteen—something that was truly his, that was a gift… was a scratched-up, beat-up CD player. With one CD in it.
Guess which song was on it?
Some cute details about Tim and Con, for when they finally get together:
· Tim talks at home without the comms, not only because he feels safe, but because Con really likes his voice.
· Every time Con wants to do something risky or potentially dangerous with Tim, he doesn't get to do it until he agrees to the subsequent 'aftercare' / being taken care of.
· They both make compromises for each other: Con allows himself to be taken care of, and Tim allows himself not to lie and to act relaxed.
· Con can't cook at all, like, not even a little. Tim finds cooking meditative and sequential. Con loves to stand behind him and just hug him while Tim cooks. This is usually accompanied by grumbling along the lines of:
"You know this is uncomfortable for me."
"You know I wouldn't be standing here if you were against it."
· Con is fascinated by people's scars. For him, they're distinctive marks that can tell a lot about a person. He's jealous of people who have scars because they make individuals stand out from each other. You already get that he can lie for hours just tracing the contours of Tim's scars with his fingers, right?
· This also helps with Tim's self-acceptance. But in return, Tim observes Conner's behavior endlessly. He likes everything. His emotional outbursts, the way Con starts to levitate when he feels comfortable, how his eyes can glow in the dark, Con's fangs, his pointed ears, his perfect curls, and his always-warm body… Tim is just utterly, ridiculously gone for him.
If this post gets some traction, the next one will be about Jason and Tim!
And also, maybe I'll tell you about Damian and Tim, if you want :)

Random Timcon headcanon is that Conner makes Tim do check ins for his mental/ physical health and because he can't always be there and Tim just send him things like this because he's insufferable
Conner never knows if he should laugh or just be even more concerned. The thing is he does both and he usually responds doing the same thing.
