1987 TMNT started a trend that they cannot pry out of my cold, dead hands.

Was rewatching Fast Forward episode 'Head of State' where Stockman has Bishop kidnapped by the same creatures he and Stockman created back in the day when Bishop was still an angry xenophobic agent instead of the president of the intergalactic UN (wild ass statement even within the show's context)

ANYWAY what caught my attention was Bishop's retelling of the event that led to him questioning his approach to protecting the Earth.

I believe @bambiraptorx made a post talking about how Bishop has a habit of putting most or all of the blame of his mistakes or mistakes he enables onto Stockman.

WELL Bishop does that again here. Now, while he does take responsibility for what he was, Bishop still phrases the situation he and Stockman were both active within (where Bishop was Stockman's employer/superior mind you) as a situation where sure he was bad but Stockman "took things too far."

I believe this was an intentional choice by the writers to show that Bishop isn't really as reformed as he likes to present himself. Because Raph immediately calls him out on his choice of words.

"You were kidnapping aliens and experimenting on them! THAT wasn't too far?!"

And Bishop doesn't argue this point

"Like I said, it was a different time in my life. Not one I'm proud of."

But even at his most reformed state, Bishop still seems to be trying to push at least a little more responsibility onto Stockman.

Old habits die hard, I suppose, especially when they're coupled with egos the size of planets

I just found this interesting on the part of the writing and think at least someone in the writer's room was on the same wavelength as those of us who tend to fixate on this character.

I'm still not sure I'll reblog any explicitly horny prompts because I know for a fact kids follow this blog...

Related, however, these are Bishop and Stockman we are talking about. Whatever the iteration, if you’re coming on this blog, you’re acknowledging that you might see some guts getting spilled, literally. And also some gay horny shit but like that’s secondary. Even if it doesn't get extra detailed, it will for sure happen.
