Whumpee stuck in traffic with whumper, just think about it. Whumper doesn’t have to be doing anything violent or even say anything. But the close proximity is enough the put Whumpee on edge, freedom seems so close, just outside the door, and yet so far away. Even if they get out of the car, what then?
Emaciated Villain Used as Entertainment at a Hero's Party Part 13
Warnings: self-degredation, emaciation, muscle fatigue & exhaustion (due to overworking oneself), chemical burns, accidental passing out
Slowly, he put one foot in front of the other, silently edging around where Hero was sleeping on the floor to limp out of the room and find something productive to do.
Wandering aimlessly through the house, he gathered his bearings and memorized how to access each room, eventually finding himself standing in the kitchen. He was surprised by how tidy everything was. There was hardly anything he could do to clean up. But that wouldn't stop him from finding tasks regardless.
He checked the cabinets beneath the sink and found some basic cleaning supplies, bringing them out and setting it all on the counter. Then located a sponge and squeezed some cleaning liquid onto it, hissing when the chemicals sank their vicious teeth into all the wounds on his hands, tearing into his nerves and burning intensely.
But he forced himself not to drop the sponge, taking it to the grout lines between counter tiles and scrubbing away the faint stains lingering there. He wasn't accomplishing much with how clean everything already was, but he hoped that by proving to Hero he was trying, at least, it might earn him some more of that sweet, sweet mercy.
He spent his time aggressively cleaning every inch of the countertops, working his hands raw, but staying upright was getting harder and harder with every passing second.
Without warning, the muscles in his back started spasming violently, making his legs go weak and nearly knocking him right off his feet with the jagged pain that accompanied it. His eyes watered, jaw clenching so hard he was shocked he didn't crack any teeth as he rode out the wave of agony.
And then a strong wave of vertigo overtook him. He rested his forehead on the cold countertop, panting heavily and shaking all over. It felt like he was floating and falling at the same time, a disorienting sensation that fogged up his mind.
The fever was down, but not gone, and the exertion of working his broken body was making everything worse. His head pounded with pain, every single muscle ached, and his balance wobbled like a newborn fawn, threatening to send him to the ground.
Don't pass out, don't pass out, please don't pass out, he begged himself, imagining the trouble he'd be in if Hero found him unconscious on the kitchen floor with a half-finished job beside him. Ohhhh how he would suffer for that.
But... it didn't seem like he had a choice, and that terrified him. His body was shutting down of its own accord, darkness eating away at the corners of his vision.
NonononononoNO--
Villain's spiraling thoughts were sliced through by the sound of footsteps approaching the kitchen. Each one sounded like a death sentence.
Raw, unbridled panic spiked through him, squeezing the air from his lungs.
"Villain?" a warped voice called out from off to his left. It sounded so far away to his ears, which were ringing loudly.
"Woah! What are you doing? Why are you out here? You're supposed to be resting!" It was definitely Hero's voice, drawing closer, and that only terrified him even more.
With a strangled sound of pain Villain made a desperate, scrambling grab for the sponge, frantic to show he wasn't slacking off, but his body went limp right as his fingers touched it, his vision blacking out entirely.
He was vaguely aware of something warm catching his body before it hit the floor, but unconsciousness came rushing in before he could see what it was.
For my dear friend @laurenpiplupfluff2. Hope you feel better soon!
Hero woke in a dim room, alone and confused. Had she fallen asleep during the team meeting? That couldn't be right. She'd been extra alert during this time, listening with wrapt attention as the team discussed taking down Villain, an evasive arsonist who had somehow managed to evade both the police and Hero's team.
So where was her team? This had to be the soap factory where they planned to ambush them. She could smell the blended scents of bath salts and hand soaps. Dangerously flammable, the perfect target for his attacks.
As if the place had guessed her thoughts, she saw a shadowed figure burst into flame at the end of the hall.
She threw her hands up, blasting ice at the fiery form. At once the frozen blasts crystallized the person before her. Steam filled the air as her ice attacks vaporized on contact with the enflamed skin.
The flames disappeared, revealing a pale man, veined with fiery blood.
Slumping forward against the wall, he seemed limp with relief. "Oh...thank you."
Thin, charred material clung to his waist and thighs, remnants of whatever suit Villain always wore. The rest had burned or melted away, pooling around his feet.
"W--who are you?" Hero asked, backing away until the corner trapped her. "What do you want?"
"Shh, don't pretend you don't know me, Hero. They've left you," Villain said, but he sounded...empathetic, "They knew you'd be found."
Her heart lodges in her throat. Her team left her? They wouldn't, they needed her ice powers. But still, as she shrinks from him, she can't help but wonder.
"Why didn't you tie me, then?"
Villain smiled, "There's no need to, is there? You're playing the role they want you to play."
Hero glanced away. He wasn't wrong, but she didn't think her role would turn out like this. Certainly not with her...alone.
"You still don't feel it, Hero?" then a chuckle, "Of course you don't. You're always cold."
A flame scampered from his finger, lighting the ground between her feet.
Instinctively, Hero pulled back. Then she saw it, the carbon metal chain binding her ankle to the wall. Panic shot up her spine. Who did this? Why? Without thinking, she blasted heavy ice against the chain.
But the chain would not break. It was specially crafted not to, even when frozen.
"What did you do?" she demanded. "Where did you get that chain?"
"I told you, they left you here. They didn't think I'd come here until tonight."
"Why didn't they see you, then?" Hero asked, panic making her colder than she already was.
"They didn't need to. They felt me," and he glanced around the room, holding a smile, "Pity they'd sedated you too much to wake you up."
Hero follows his eyes. Only then does she notice how warped the metal walls are, how bent the doorframes appeared.
"You trapped them--"
"Oh I tried, but I didn't have time. They gave you up without a fight. Fled through that vent shaft up there." She follows his eyes to see the vent shaft in question, "But don't feel too bad, Hero, they sealed the blast doors on the way out."
She met his gaze, almost afraid to ask. "So...we're both trapped in here...?"
(part 2 coming soon.)
Nonhuman whumpee stuck in a bear trap. They were hunting and suddenly, snap. Metal jaws clamped around their leg, sickeningly crunching the bone. It won’t let go. They pull and claw and dig at the trap, but nothing — every movement sending agony shooting around every nerve in their body. Time goes painfully slowly as day turns into night, and again… again…. infection sets in.
Maybe they’re found by a kind Caretaker who pries the metal teeth off Whumpee’s leg, not even having to avoid snapping jaws as Whumpee’s fever leaves them too weak to fight.

CW: cave in, trapped whumpee, uhhh separation anxiety (/j)
River coughed as he picked himself up — or at least, he tried to. His ears were ringing, he was dizzy, and his hands slipped on the dust, causing him to fall flat on his stomach. The dust was everywhere. In his lungs, his eyes, his mouth…
What happened?
He rubbed the dust out of his eyes and looked around. It was mostly dark, save for one tiny beam of light, perfectly visible as it reflected off the large dust particles that stifled the air.
River slowly took in the details around him. Rocks, mostly, crumbled concrete with rebarb sticking out. Two large slabs of concrete leaned against each other, forming the little dome that he found himself in. But he could tell it wasn’t sturdy. There was dust crumbling from teh spot where the two slabs touched.
“River?!”
River’s head jerked up towards the crack that the beam of light filtered through. He hadn’t even noticed that the ringing in his ears had died down, but he was glad it did so he could hear his friend call out.
“Ethan!!”
His voice was hoarse, so he wasn’t sure it was audible. He dragged himself closer to the crack, wincing a bit as he scraped his bare skin on the rough floor.
“ETHAN!!!”
“River?!”
Ethan’s voice sounded a lot closer now. And there were footfalls. The light filtering through the crack dimmed a bit.
“River?”
He was right next to him. RIver gasped relieved, coughing a bit as he inhaled some dust again.
“River! Are you okay?!”
“I-I’m here!” River croaked.
“Oh really?” Ethan said sarcastically, “Are you okay though?”
“I think so…what happened?”
“Place caved in.”
River looked around again.
“Oh really?”
“Let me see if I can dig you out…” Ethan said.
“B-be careful, I don’t think where I am is very sturdy.” River said, looking back at the two large slabs above him.
“I am, I am…” Ethan assured him, grunting a bit as he moved something heavy aside.
River flinched a bit at the sound of rocks crumbling and rolling past other rocks. He managed to sit up, hugging his knees as he sat close to the crack, which slowly grew into a hole as Ethan moved debris aside until he could stick his hand through.
“E-Ethan!” River gasped grasping for his hand, “Can you get through?”
“…I’m not sure.” Ethan admitted, “How’s it look in there? Are you alone? Do you smell gas?”
“I-I’m alone. And I don’t smell gas.” River reported, “I’m safe because two large pieces of concrete are leaning against each other, but there’s crumbs and dust coming off of them, l-like they’re slowly slipping.”
“Okay…” Ethan said, “O-okay. I need to go get help—”
“W-what?” River asked.
“I can’t move much more on your own and I don’t want to cause a collapse.” Ethan said, “I can see if I can find uncle Xan, he’ll get you out safely, okay?”
“I-is he around?” River asked.
“I’ll have to go find him.”
“N-no!” River said, clutching Ethan’s hand tighter, “No, don’t leave me! Please!”
“It’ll be okay, I’ll come right back with help, I promise.” Ethan said, carefully pulling his hand back and dislodging it from River’s grip.
But as he did, River reached through the hole also and grabbed at Ethan’s clothes
“Please don’t leave me!” he begged.
“River, I’m sorry, I have to!” Ethan said, squeezing his hand, “I’ll come back as fast as I can, just hang in, okay?”
“N-no—”
“I’m sorry…” Ethan repeated, before reluctantly letting go and running off to find help.
Whumpees getting caught in traps meant for animals is super underrated tbh. Whumpee, stumbling through the unfamiliar and terrifying woods, a beartrap snapping over their ankle? Or maybe a net snatches them up, dangling them high off the ground. Leaving them helpless in an unfamiliar and hostile enviornment, vulnurable to any wild animal looking for an easy snack- and worse than that...
What happens when the person who set the trap comes back?
“They’re not coming for you,” Whumper smirked, striding across the floor just to stop directly infront of Whumpee who was currently on their knees with their head bowed down.
“I know….” They croaked.
Whumper hummed, their smirk broadening as they tilted their head. “I know I’m fucking stuck here, you don’t have to keep telling me that!!!” Whumpee roared, surprising Whumper with their sudden defiance. They cupped Whumpee’s cheek and forced their face to meet Whumper’s, “Watch your volume, darling.”
Whumpee could hardly care about their volume. Caretaker wasn’t coming for them. No one was. They were stuck with Whumper… forever…..
“Come now, dove, don’t be hurting that pretty little head of yours by thinking too much,” Whumper cooed. And Whumpee couldn’t even argue. No one was going to come save them.
