Spent all day going to and from Houston. Our eldest kiddo is on the theater competition trail, and had her first round of UIL performances today. They made the first selection, one of three schools of the five that performed! So proud of her. They did a one act version of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Toulane.

I was tired of showing up to events as a grimy, Carhartt truckin' country bumpkin, so I actually tried to look nice lol. I haven't worn makeup since Halloween 😅 I don't have a nice, full length mirror location, had to get creative just to see my own outfit.

It's almost Easter, so the local churches are going hard for their favorite zombie OC!

I'm going back out to spend an entire day with my bees tomorrow, I have some serious spring work to do!!

Si chiama “giusto salario”, si legge ‘leccata di deretano’ a Cgil, Cisl, Uil e grande capitalismo. Qualunque esperienza sindacale di base ed anche datoriale (senza santi in paradiso) viene sacrificata in virtù di un patto antidemocratico dove i sindacati servono ai sindacalisti ed i grandi ‘prenditori’ servono a sè stessi. I contratti giusti li fanno solo loro, per gli altri la definizione dice tutto: contratto “pirata”, non è vero, perché la Cgil infatti fa contratti a cinque euro l’ora lordi e nessuno evoca Sandokan, ma tant’è. È il globalismo liberista bellezza! È il pensiero unico. E fa schifo.

friend who is a beekeeper phoned that a spotted eagle owl chick was under his bakkie (truck), at a farm that is luckily close by.

being out of the nest at this age is normal, but the farm owners were quite distressed about it, as the chick had been on the ground for two days, while the sibling was still in the nest.

no signs of illness or injury, & only very minimal dehydration, so i just popped it back into the nest, making sure to not spook the sibling, & mimicking the parents to ensure they stayed nearby.

& on my way to this rescue, i got pulled over because the cops thought i was A LITERAL CHILD.

just a normal day around here, for your local little bird lady.
