Intersex participation in Gender Census
I'm curious how many intersex people who participate in @gendercensus write-in "intersex" in the section where you get to write in any gender descriptors not already provided for you.
For those unfamiliar, it's a short annual survey of people whose gender in any way does not neatly fit into the binary.
You get a question where you can check off common terms like transgender and nonbinary, and then 10 empty slots you can use to write in terms that were not provided. Writing in "intersex" in that part is the only means in the survey for somebody to indicate they are intersex, as the survey does not directly ask intersex status.
This year's Gender Census is still open if you haven't filled it in yet!
Intersex folks: do you write in "intersex" in Gender Census?
My gender is influenced by being intersex, and I usually write in "intersex"
I usually write in intersex-specific terms (eg ipsogender) but not intersex
My gender is influenced by being intersex, but I don't remember what I wrote in
My gender is not influenced by being intersex, and I usually write in "intersex"
My gender is not influenced by being intersex, and I don't write in "intersex"
I'm intersex, have participated in Gender Census, and need another poll option
I'm intersex, have not participated in Gender Census
I'm intersex and need another poll option

thank you!
being intersex is quite possibly the most isolating thing i’ve ever experienced. all my life, i felt alone. that no one in the world knew what was wrong with me. that i was a weird, abnormal freak.
i felt horrible. and so, i made sure that i would make people like me feel seen
every day, i see people sharing the terms i created, talking about how relatable they are. when i first saw someone talking about how seen they felt (i love you smilepilled!!!!) my heart was a damn opera, it was singing so much!
while things are pretty bad right now, i’m grateful to have provided a little bit of comfort to those who need it
with that being said…

Trinsgender / Trintergender
[PT: Trinsgender also known as Trintergender. /End PT.]
This is a label exclusive to intersex people who identify with a gender identity beyond what was socially expected or imposed onto oneself.
You may consider this an ASABless alternative to ultergender, as any intersex person, regardless of ASAB, may modify our genders in any direction that fits our experiences best.
Trins-, or Trinter- comes from a combination of the prefixes "trans-" and "inter-."

now and forever.
Orchidtrans: A subset of Inter-ultergender (link) where one is transitioning to a gender that is different from the one they were assigned at birth because their intersex variant aligns with it.
Possible examples:
Someone with Swyer Syndrome transitioning into masculinity because of their chromosomes.
Someone with Klinefelter Syndrome transitioning into femininity because of conditions comorbid with their variant, like Gynecomastia.
Someone who underwent Intersex Genital Mutilation (IGM) and is now transitioning to what their sex would have been before surgery.
May also be referred to as Orchidtransgender or Orchidtranssexual depending on what fits the user best.
Orchidtrans people may also fall under the category of Retrotransgender (link).
Arven from Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet is intersex and ultergender (link) using she/they pronouns, and she is non-disclosing of her variation(s)— however they openly describe themselves with the term medandrogenism! (link)
