So ein Käse!

Während meiner Zeit als Vegetarier dachte ich, niemals auf Käse verzichten zu können. Damals wusste ich nicht, dass man aus Cashew und aus Mandeln fantastischen veganen Käse machen kann. 

In den letzten Jahren ist viel passiert in Sachen veganer Käse. Die verschiedenen Sorten von NewRoots, SimplyV und Wilmersburger mag ich am liebsten. In der Schweiz gibt es sie u.a. hier zu kaufen:

NewRoots und SimplyV: Ohni, Lolavegan, MrVegan, Fabulous, Hellovegan, Coop.

Wilmersburger Scheiben: Migros

Ich mach aber auch gern eigenen veganen Frischkäse: Mit dem Stabmixer mische ich Cashewkerne und Zitronensaft, füge nach Lust und Laune Kräuter hinzu oder getrocknete Tomaten oder Oliven. Himmlisch!

VEGAN CAMEMBERT - working on bringing my vegan cheese-making skills to the next level. Say hello to my very first 2 vegan camembert cheeses! They're made with: ~ cashews ~ mesophilic cultures ~ traditional penicillium candidum powder ~ Transglutaminase Enzyme ~ sea salt ~ water 🧀 These are how they look like after 23 days. Takes quite a bit of work making sure they’re at the optimum temperature and humidity plus a lot patience because of all that waiting. I’m actually supposed to wait for another 5 days more but I thought I’d taste a teeny weeny bit from one of them. And then I cut another tiny slice...and another… 🤤 Can’t wait to make more!! It’ll have to be after the @perthveganexpo though as I need to be around to flip it every day and wipe off all the moisture for 3-4weeks. 😮 No cows were harmed in making the vegan cheese! 💯 Thank you @ethivegan for letting me get the @cashewbert vegan cheese making kit sent to London 🙏 . VEGAN CHEESE CAMEMBERT STYLE 🤪😍😱 🖖🏼 You think that in the motorhome no experiments are possible? But that's not correct. After 4 weeks of maturation, he is now ready, our Camembert .... vegan .... raw .... healthy. No one needs cheese. He was really, extremely delicious and so similar .... the noble mold and the taste of the tire. Try it out! Go vegan Deutsch\\\\\\ Du denkst das im Wohnmobil keine Experimente möglich sind? Das stimmt aber nicht. Nach 4 Wochen des Reifens ist er nun fertig, unser Camembert....vegan....raw....healthy. Kein Mensch braucht Käse. Er war wirklich extrem lecker und so ähnlich....der Edelschimmel und der Geschmack vom Reifen. Probiert es unbedingt mal aus!
