guys, please be nice to the waitstaff at restaurants (and really any customer service worker in general). the restaurant i work at was so backed up today and i was running around like crazy trying to stay on top of things and some of my customers were so rude to me that i got home and just started sobbing. to name a few, i had a woman who WOULD NOT sit where her reservation was, and blocked our waiting list for 10 minutes arguing with me because she wouldn’t sit there. we also ran out of roll-ups at one point and one man flipped out because we couldn’t get his utensils when we sat him. but i had one woman tell me to take my time and that there was no rush on her table. i almost cried out of relief. please be like the third woman when you go out to eat, please.

WHY do some people at restaurants not pass the waiter their plate when they’re trying to clear the table off??

Janice, I can’t reach you from in the centre of a ten-seater table where you’re sitting against the wall fuckin lift the plate up for me so I don’t have to lean over your friend and nearly elbow them in the face thank you.

All the people who stack their plates for the waiter at the end of the table tho you guys are a blessing thank you so much.

Rant mother fucking time!! Alright so today I thought it was Friday. I thought I worked at pizza hut and not Denny's today. All day I thought this, until I got to pizza hut and they were like 'bitch, why you here.' And this point I was already 30 minutes late to Denny's but I also had to drive back toy house, change, and make an hour trek to Ormond Beach because thats where I'm training since our Denny's hasn't opened yet. So I call them up and let them know what is happening and they're fine with it. It's not that busy anyways. So I get there and my coworker is all pissed off even thought he still had another 30 minutes until his shift ended and we really weren't that busy. Then I find out that one of the girls had to call out cause her ride bailed on her and she lives an hour away. Just like me. So it's just me and this other girl, who is a bossy little bitch who doesn't have enough get up and go. Like I had 6 tables sat, and I needed to get my tables their drinks and she was like hey can you get my table some steak sauce. She only had like 4 tables at this time. I flat out told her, I have my own shit to do, do it yourself. So then it comes time for cuts. I don't want to be cut cause I need more money and I like to work. My coworker is happy to be cut. So I keep on doing my thing, getting people their stuff. I don't think I have to watch over her cause she's been here a little longer than I have. Well apparently she doesn't know what all the side work is, because there was still a pan of silverware to be rolled, the salad bar was almost empty and all of the glasses were waiting to be put away. And she was still on the fucking clock while waiting for her food to be cook, so she could have done this stuff. Instead, I had to do all her side work plus my side work, which pissed me off, cause the graveyard waitresses was like why didn't you do this and I was like because I thought she did. I'm not super fucking woman. I can't do everything at once. Also, to the 33.25 order who only gave me a 1.50, there is a special place in hell for you and you little twats that left a huge ass mess for me to clean up.

I’m leaving my job

Idk if anyone read my last rant, but after a really long meeting with the senior manager over a stupid email complaining about me (it was taken so out of context it’s surreal), and after being punished with not being alowed to talk to customers... now I have to go to ANOTHER OFFICIAL MEETING and face disciplinary action and more punishment.

So I’ve made up my mind.

If they’re going to have me doing supporting duties and not really working it means they don’t need me. It also means I’m really humiliated and uncomfortable. Pissed off as fuck because this is all over a stupid ass comment about cold chips that i said as a joke, in response to another joke comment.

The only reason I was working in this place is because I liked it and it was comfortable and convenient. After this incident? I’m having lots of anxiety and stress and it makes me want to cry and puke. I still love the people who work there (not the senior manager, he’s a dick) and I hate to pull such a dick move on them but my mental health comes first. I’ll go out for drinks whenever they want anyway.

There is a lot more that I could write about this but I’m sick of repeating the same thing in my head, and you don’t need more explanation.

If they don’t fire me on Monday I’ll hand in my resignation. With any luck I only have to work tomorrow and that’ll be the end of it.

I hate this crap.
