Whumpee who just can't do it. They just can't fight back like Whumper yells at them to. They just can't perform on Whumper like they're being told. They physically can't fit anything else in them. They're sobbing and repeating "I can't do it I can't do it" and Whumper finds it annoying.
They stop for a moment, pulling away and letting Whumpee breathe. They plan to just give them 2 minutes to stop crying then get back to it, but then Whumpee runs.
this is whumper’s second try at getting the response that they want out of whumpee. they wanted whumpee to perform enthusiastically first, to moan and writhe and put on a show of enjoying it. when whumpee couldn’t manage it - too horrified, too exhausted, in too much pain, crying too hard - whumper changed their tactic.
they have whumpee pinned to the bed, fucking them hard and fast, deliberately making it hurt. their hands are bruising and forceful even though whumpee isn’t making attempts to escape. this is despite their second set of orders - fine. if they can’t even pretend to like it, they can make a scene out of how much they hate it.
“fight me. fight me, you useless whore. do you want this?” whumper barks down at them, their anger showing in their voice and the way they let go of one of whumpee’s aching wrists long enough to give them a hard, reprimanding slap across the face. “i fucking told you to fight. this is pathetic. i want moaning or i want screaming, not this.”
whumpee just closes their eyes tighter and sobs. “i can’t,” they beg. they tried. they tried to force their body to move, to struggle hard enough to please whumper, but they just don’t have it in them. “i can’t, i’m sorry, i can’t, i can’t.” they sound pathetic even to their own ears, whiny and helpless.
“oh my god you are so fucking annoying, i can’t even listen to this shit.” whumper gets off of whumpee, the sudden disappearance of their weight and the absence of the wet heat and bruising friction where their bodies had been joined is shocking enough to make whumpee whimper. whumper’s sneer deepens. “get yourself together. when i get back, you’d better be ready to do as you’re told. if all i get is more whining and crying, you’re gonna find out just how bad this can get.”
the moment the bathroom door closes behind whumper, whumpee feels a surge of strength. it hurts to stand, and their clothes are nowhere to be seen (or just… destroyed) but this might be their only chance. they have to take it. and so they do. they run.
Living Weapon!Whumpee abandoned like an unruly mutt. Left behind, not knowing what happened to their previous owner. Weapon is constantly searching for them, unsure what to do when not given rigid orders.
Eventually, Weapon stumbles across Caretaker and latches onto them. Caretaker is confused, trying to figure out who this random person is who won’t leave them alone, and eventually just accepts that they have fallen victim to the living weapon distribution system.
Whumpee is trapped across from another inhabited cell. The intimidating figure behind the other set of bars doesn't seemed to picked on by whumper in the same manner as them. It took time to convince whumpee to join their escape plan. But after they escape together, Whumpee discovers their stoic new ally faced a more "scarless" torment.
An underrated/used/utilized bit of whump, when whumpee escapes and goes looking for help and finds it, but the person they find is just some random stranger. Some person who was otherwise having a normal, fine day. Some stranger who just happened to open the door to find someone barely standing on the other side of it. Someone whose clearly in dire need of help
I love that moment so much. That bubble of peace after the escape. The sensation of air on their face as whumpee steps back into the real world, the world where it wasn't normal for them to hurt and bleed. Where they didn't exist for pain.
For whumpee, it's a reemergence. The settling of blankets and gentle hands. A stranger making the phone call that will bring help. It's kindness and consideration, foreign and strange
For the person who opened the door, it's stepping into a true crime special, if not a fucking horror movie. It's the upheaval of their day, their fucking life. It's the popping of the bubble
Two strangers having separate experiences as their worlds overlap. I love it
Whumpee could hear alarms screaming behind them; flashes of red reflected off the back of whumper’s jacket. They had an iron grip around their wrist pulling them deeper into the woods. Whumpee heard shouting and tried to look back at the hospital.
“Don’t look back, keep moving.” Whumper tugged them forwards.
Whumpee had already run out of energy, whumper slowed down when they heard them wheeze every other breath. Whumpee suddenly stumbled forwards and clung to whumper’s jacket.
“Are you okay?” Whumper slowed to a stop. Whumpee tried to raise their head, the woods around them distorted and the alarms sounded further then they were. Whumper suddenly grabbed both their shoulders and pulled them closer.
“Whumpee, are you okay?” They shook them a little and that was enough to buckle their knees as whumper caught them.
“I- I can’t breathe.” Whumpee grabbed their throat. Whumper ripped their hand away from their neck before they choked themselves. “Damn it... We can’t stay here.” They glanced between whumpee and the hospital with a sigh.
“Look at me, I need you to slow your breathing and take deep breaths. Don’t stop, okay?”
Before they could respond, whumper pulled them by their arm over their shoulder and picked them off the ground. Normally, they would scream and retaliate, but anytime they moved their head felt like static.
Whumper became worried when whumpee was deathly still. They were used to kicking or crying, and it wasn’t long before they realized that they had fallen completely unconscious.
Worrying as that may be, perhaps it would make the trip a little easier.
------
Whumpee jolted awake in a smudged laboratory. It was similar to where they’ve been waking up to for the past month, but... This one was much different.
They weren't restrained, for one. They were laying on a stained gurney that unstably rocked when they tried to sit up. It was dark and a single dim light kept the room luminated. They were wrapped in a blanket from the chest down and an IV pricked their arm. Someone had put a cold cloth behind their neck; it was still damp.
Whumpee groaned and clutched their head trying to remember what had happened. Was the escape even real? They tried to sit up but knocked the IV stand over as it slammed to the ground. The sound was deafening; whumpee winced and covered their ears with a whimper. Even after the noise was gone they heard echoes of it ringing in their ears.
“What happened? Are you alright?” They heard a drowning voice.
They opened their eyes to whumper crouched in front of them gently touching their forehead.
“Wh-where are we?” Whumpee tried to brush their hand off. Whumper let them and set a glass of water down.
“One of our old abandoned labs. It used to belong to my company until one of the experiments went a little-...” They paused and looked at the ransacked state of the place. “-Out of control.” They sighed. “But, it’ll work as a hideout. Plus some of the equipment is still usable. Or at least repairable.” They coughed. “How are you feeling?”
Whumpee’s eyes traced the room trying to put together exactly what happened. “I think I’m doing better... But you... Did you get us out?” They asked. Whumper nodded and adjusted the IV in whumpee’s arm and picked up the stand.
“We still have a problem.” Whumper mumbled. “The plan's still the same. You’re sick and I’m curing you.” They started rummaging through old machinery and tossing out expired medical supplies.
“Only if you tell me everything.” Whumpee spoke from behind. “Tell me everything about the sickness, why was that whole place dedicated to curing me? What would you, or anyone have to gain for that? I’m nobody...” Whumpee muttered.
“No.” Whumper turned back and reached for their cheek. “You’re not nobody, whumpee. You’re everything.” They gently laid them back against the gurney and pulled the blanket up. “And everything I’ve put you through, I guess I owe you some answers.”
“All of them.” Whumpee corrected.
“Yes, yes fine!... All of them. What do you want next, some popcorn?”
Whumpee gave them their signature sarcastic look.
“Well at least sip your water while I talk. You were dehydrated and that’s why you collapsed in the woods. Good grief, the doctor took horrible care of you...”
((Annnnd I’m going to have to cut this into a part 1/2 so to be continued, thank you all for your patience with the series. Next chapter will be out very soon!))
heyyyy! This is like really short but I wanted to get it out soon and like this was a really good place to stop. At the end I'm just gonna have some stuff about Kane to make up for this being short, enjoyyyyy!
Cw: Whump, injuries, mention of restraints, imprisoned. (Let me know if I missed any)
The prisoner cracked open his eyes. He could feel the crust sticking to the corners. He idly stared at the concrete ceiling in front of him before sitting up. The whole room was just gray, cracked concrete. He must have woken up late because breakfast was already left on the floor.
"Oatmeal," Kane grimaced, "how tasty." He dragged himself to the bowl. He was no longer chained so the servants were no longer required to put the food within arms reach.
He stirred the soggy mess and took a bite. Eating out of need was his only motivation. It was redundant. Scoop, bite, scoop, bite, scoop, bite.
Kane looked up at the water damaged corner. Something green was growing on it and made the air musty. Kane just took what he could get. It had been so long since the boy had seen a plant, he had almost forgotten what they looked like.
He leaned back against the wall and looked at the door, longing for it to release him. Something was wrong. The door was left cracked open. Kane knew there was no way someone would have left it open on accident. It must be a trap, right?
Still, the boy rose on aching legs. It was probably a test. His captor probably wants to know what he would do. And yet, Kane gently pulled the door open. No one was waiting for him in the stone hall. Kane glanced at the cameras on the wall. No doubt someone was watching him. That means the boy had to get out of there quick. He ran up the stairs to the left. He knew he was underground so the only way out is up.
Kane passed a landing and froze. On the wall was a fire exit map. That was convenient. The boy followed the colored line with his finger. He had to go up two more flights and there should be a door that leads directly to the outside. His legs were already tired by the time he got to the door. He pressed the door open, praying to any and every god that an alarm wouldn't blare. The only sound was the door creaking.
Kane took in the view of the garden. Shrubs and flowers lined the stone pathways. There were stunning statues dotted around. He had been outside before, but always blindfolded.
Kane took a step, expecting someone to call after him. When everything remained silent, he took another step, and another, and another until he was at a side door to the gate lining the garden. There wasn't any guards there. He must have caught them in between shifts. He had heard guards out here before.
Kane passed through the surprisingly unlocked door and ran. The little figure pushed himself as fast as he could go. Wheezing in each breath as fast as he could. He could feel the squeaking in his lungs. He ignored it. He had to focus on his feet. Right foot. Left foot. Right foot. Le— a blinding white pain scorched through his foot. Before they were able to see what happened, his back hit the grass and he began rolling. He kept rolling and rolling, taking in a mouthful of grass and dirt with every turn. His hip clipped a rock and he finally hit flat ground. Kane opened his eyes, squinted at the high noon sun. A head blocked the light from his eyes.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Random stuff about Kane!
he/they
Siblings in age order: Jenni, (this is where Kane is), Mila, Kon, Leam, Chime, Dorre
Kane has had a hidden relationship with Basil for years. He never told his parents bc they wouldn't be cool with it. (Basil's family treats Kane like their own)
fun fact! His mom isn't his bio mom. His siblings aren't related to her either and none of them have the same bio mom (except for Kon and Leam bc they're twins)
here's the next one:
tw: flashbacks
"Hey, are you okay?"
Kane stared at the boy. This kid, clearly no older than 12, was out in the middle of nowhere talking to
Lmao I can not figure out how to do the thing where you click on the word... so this is what you get
The Crow and the Dove | The Merry Whump of May edition
Day 3: “You are not looking so hot” | Tension | Alleyway
Hello, I am obviously very late with filling this prompt. Do I care? Nope. Thanks for coming to my ted talk, let’s go!
This is set up three years after Kai and Ashe escape Kyriel. They are both teenagers and running for their lives, not yet together, slowly falling for one another. A bit hard to do when Kyriel tries his very best to kill them both, but well!
CW: injury whump, damaged wings, exhaustion, poison, past trauma, bleeding, bite, drugging effects from poison, fever, infection, infected wound (nasty), mention of past minor whumpee whump (implied)
Masterlist @themerrywhumpofmay
The alleyway was filthy. Filthy, dark, and finishing with a dead end. Ashe saw more than the normal amount of rats scurry away as they stumbled in, Kai half unconsciously slumped over her shoulders - his stupid, beautiful wings, barely concealed by his cloak, dragging to the ground.
She would have worried he was going to get an infection just for that, if they didn’t have a bigger problem already.
“Easy, easy now,” murmured the girl, letting the boy slowly fall down on the floor with a winch. The cobblestones might be dirty, but the alleyway was sheltered - the tall buildings surrounding it being so narrowly close to one another that barely any rain made it through the space in between them. And Kai was shivering, and no hostel would have a winged creature - they had to run away from a priest-led mob the last time they had tried that, funny really when one considered Kai was a fucking angel now, but having Kyriel lead the dark hordes against peasants’ lands would turn even the most fervent believer against winged creatures - and so they needed the cover. No matter how filthy, no matter how dark.
Besides, Ashe had the sinking feeling Kai’s leg was going to smell worse than that dead end street, the outline of the bite of one of the angel’s beasts stark on his skin.
“Let me see that,” the girl ordered, falling on her knees. She reached for the boy’s cloak, long blonde hair falling over her shoulders - rain plastering her braids to her face, her clothes. She could see where blood had seeped into his clothes, the darker patch of wet expanding over his tight.
Her heart broke, in a familiar thousand pieces, when Kai flinched away from her - instinctively grabbing her wrist with his hand, holding her away.
The girl’s lifted her eyes, mouth dry - meeting the boy’s wide, unfocused, and terrified ones.
“Kai,” Ashe’s voice was a low, soothing. “It’s me.” She swallowed, slowly moving her free hand to wrap her fingers around Kai’s, the boy’s hold almost painful over her bones. She caressed his skin, the movement small. “Just me.”
There must have been a sedative of some sort, a drug or poison, in Kai’s wounds - for it took a beat too long for him to blink, silver eyes struggling to put her into focus. For understanding, embarrassment, to dawn on his face.
He let go of her as if burned, flinching away.
They’d come into the night, as they often did. Kyriel’s hounds hadn’t howled, hadn’t left a footprint on the ground. They only chased, relentlessly reforming themselves from the shadow where a woman might cleave them with a sword, with only Kai’s blinding magic seeming to be able to dissipate them for a sufficient amount of time to allow them to run. But this time, together with the usual monsters, Kyriel had sent another creature; a tall, humanoid, furless thing with clawed bat wings, white eyes, and purple teeth. It had charged them from the sky, falling onto Kai from above and grounding him to the ground - followed by other two identical monsters charging onto him after the first one had latched on Kai’s torso.
They’d grabbed his wings. And the third -
Ashe had been unable to do a fucking thing, her own hands full with keeping the hounds away from herself, as the third blind bat creature had wrapped its three pointed tails around Kai’s leg, and sunk its teeth into his tight. And even though Kai had literally roared - his power exploding again, lightening the night sky and shredding the creatures and the hounds both - it had been too late.
They’d both seen the fangs seep in. Had both seen the venom glinting off the beasts’ teeth, the purplish colour of their veins and wings.
Kai wet his lips, breathing heavily against the wall. His head rolled to the side, eyes blinking and unfocused - his skin still covered in blood, the gore of the fight.
“Have I ever told you,” he slurred, visibly forcing himself to let the words out, “that you are really pretty?”
Ashe froze, head snapping up. She opened her mouth, her face a mixture of shock and astonishment.
Kai - the dying-on-her bastard, her childhood best friend - dared to flush.
Had she not been worried he was going to die on her or worse, she would have laughed herself hoarse.
“Do not be ridiculous now,” she snapped, hoarse. She swallowed, doing her best to fashion her face in the picture of indignity - batting the boy’s hand away to reach for his injuries. “You are not exactly looking so hot right now, are you.”
Kai looked at her from under thick eyelashes, silver eyes almost luminescent in the moonlight - pupils as wide as saucers.
He smirked, the bastard, thin white hair falling over his face.
“I am the prince of the undeads,” he slurred, voice low as he repeated the bullshit Kyriel had drilled into his skull in the years he’d been his prisoner, before Ashe could find a way to fish him out from under his clutches. “I am always hot, thank you.”
The girl groaned, at that.
It had been three years since they had escaped Kyriel’s tower. Three years since Kai had come back to life, since the boy had started growing again. And although he didn’t look anymore like that terrifying, scrawny child-like thing Ashe had found under the Tower - something the girl was terribly proud of, her heart swelling every time Kai sank his teeth into normal food and stuffed himself full - there were no doubts he was still young. Barely looking like he was fifteen now, lean and still skinny despite his impressive latest growth, his body catching up on the lost five years of life he’d spent as an undead. And even though Kai was technically twenty, two years older than her - Ashe often wondering, sometimes, how much the physical development of the brain could be offset by the actual years of life and experiences spent into the world - there were no doubts, no doubts in the bloody fucking world, that he was still a teen.
Hormones included, apparently.
The boy’s flush deepened, a lovely shade of red, as Ashe pinned him to the wall with furious, ice blue eyes. He quickly turned the colour of beetroot under her gaze - the girl wondering, faintly, if he was embarrassed or straight up dying on her.
Fifteen. A kid. A powerful, stupid, idiotic, child.
“I am just saying,” the boy continued, ignorant or undaunted by Ashe’s growing rage - for how dared he get a crush on her, the bloody idiot, of all the things they needed to worry about! - “that if you wanted me undressed, you only had to ask.”
He looked down, pointedly, to where Ashe’s fingers were pulling at his clothes, trying to expose the wound on his tight.
Oh, she was going to murder him.
“Kai,” Ashe slowly growled through gritted teeth, summoning every ounce of patience and maturity still existing in her after three years of running away from a psychopath who would cut them in pieces and make them wish never to have been born if caught, “shut up. Or so help me god, I’m going to smash your skull in.”
He giggled, the drugged bastard. Giggled, and threw his head back against the wall, silver eyes surveying the slither of sky visible from the bottom of the alleyway.
“He never needed to threaten,” he murmured, wings stretching outwards behind his back. “I’d obey anything he asked for anyway.”
Ashe’s fury reached a truly impressive point once again, the girl feeling the familiar outrage at what Kyriel had done to the child who’d been his best friend - the son of the women who’d welcomed her into their home when she hadn’t had anywhere else to go, the boy who’d never wanted to harm a living fucking soul. What he’d turned him to, the killing machine, the soldier, he was still even now.
“Yeah, well,” she hissed, yanking the cloak off his body to expose the wound, “I’m not a psychopath with compulsion powers over your brain, am I. Sorry about that.”
She could have kept going. She wasn’t shy of her opinion of what the angel deserved after having murdered her best friend and killed all of their people, Kai and Ashe both the only surviving members of their clan, their ruined country.
But then, she saw the bite.
“He did punish me sometimes though,” Kai murmured, watching the wound with a faintly disgusted expression himself. “Didn’t need to use much force. But he did like - he did like pain.“
Ashe didn’t need to ask Kai, watching the outline of the purple bite - the wound deep and as large as her palm, with foul smelling pus already seeping out of it, purple poisoned veins shooting from all sides of its outlines - if it did hurt at all.
Her stomach lurched.
Kai’s brow was covered in sweat, the boy looking at her with a grim smile.
“My bet,” he murmured, “is that I will live. But I might wish I didn’t.” He clicked his tongue, the years of imprisonment, of running away, fuelling the dark of his humour. “And that he’s already on his way now.”
To grab them both, and make them pay. To kill Kai again, make him his pupil once again, and punish Ashe through him. Or Kai through her, why should the angel limit himself?
The girl shook her head, fighting the faint rise of panic in her chest.
“No,” she whispered, swallowing the lump in her throat, testing Kai’s injury with her trembling fingers. “It’s alright.” She took a deep breath, steeling herself. “You are going to be alright.”
It was more a prayer than a promise, both of them knowing that if Kai would have been able to heal from it, he would have already.
Kai threw his head back again, sweat glistening on his skin as the pain started slowly seeping through his limbs. Watching the sky above, monitoring for his murderer’s arrival - a crooked small smile forcefully pushing over his face.
They both knew she was a terrible, terrible liar.
