i know... that it's not be THAT long since I posted the other "revised" anatomy refs but I was compelled to refine them more so here we are (again)
would say this is anatomy specific to this character, as in he's not one of a species that all share the same anatomy - making it canon (at least in this universe) that the feathers were the result of a genetic splicing surgery that didn't turn out how he was hoping.
do have some ideas about other winged and multi limbed people that potentially exist with different wing shapes, arrangements of extremities and so on
Szili's cousins!
They are also triplets! All of them are 36 y.o. Their mother is a magpie and their dad is a hoopoe. Harpies, as pretty much all other beastmen can mix a lot, so all of them are Magpie-Hoopoe mix, but it's typical for some features to be more visible than others, thus Fifi looks very magpie like, while Gruby and Raf look like a Hoopoes. This is just randomized genetics. Not like it stopped the two from joking that Fifi was found in the trashcan by their mom.
angel or bird characters with wings that are very sensitive to touch r so fun, especially when they cautiously offer a wing out for you to preen for them. a sign of utmost trust!
bonus points if wings are an erogenous zone WHAT WHO SAID THAT
Sometimes I think about how the Illyrians and other winged characters need to have little slits in the back of all their clothes to accommodate their wings but like....
how big are the slits? Are they stretchy at all or are they just like... baggy against their backs? Do their backs get cold from the breeze? bc their wings are like... smaller where they attach to their back than they are in the middle, but the shirts need to fit over the biggest part of the wings so like... do they cinch closed in some way? How do they pull the shirts on over their wings? Do they all button or tie up in the front so they're like pulling it on over their wings first, then arms, then closing it up at the front? Do they need to have their shirts specially made to accommodate different wingspans or is it like a universal thing among the Illyrians / angels etc?
so many questions...
Fierce wings, sharper steel. No one touches the child under her watch.
Dc Wing AU
Hi!!! I have a wing au for dc (and marvel, and dp, and- you get the idea) and I have a few characters who I cannot figure out the wings for, so I thought I’d take the options and put it in a poll! Oh also for the bird type I’m trying to include symbolism as best as I can.
Freddy Freeman-
Started doodling this today!
Nick and North, two of my basically default characters to use as self inserts lol. Nick has had a very consistent design for years now, but North, being newer by a couple years, doesn't so much. But he's getting a simpler and hopefully more consistent design now so :3
Have these close ups for their notes and individual pencil sketches
