chanced upon zinemaking recently so i thought i would start making a zine since this portion of the commentary exalting Jesus in exodus left quite an impression on me (and i honestly think that mini zines are pretty cute heh). this one’s about idolatry. i know it isn’t a topic most people would like to talk about, and even i was pretty certain idolatry wasn’t a part of my life. until i realised that don’t have to be worshipping literal, physical idols to be caught up in idolatry. in fact, the many times i sought comfort, satisfaction and whatever only Christ can give me from something else, i was actually idolising that thing. it can be pretty disconcerting and shocking, and we might have difficulties admitting it at times, but it’s true. so here’s some ideas i compiled from the commentary on how to conquer the idols in our hearts! ultimately, it all boils down to us beholding Christ and not giving in to our fleeting feelings. may we always remember to worship only the one true King and give Him our undivided devotion.
