I haven’t workout in almost two weeks. Life is crazy at the moment and I had to take care of more serious problems.
Hopefully I get time this afternoon for a little quick jump rope session. I really need time to do something that makes me feel good.

I just need to take a second to give a shout out to Caitlin for being a freaking ROCKSTAR and not only starting this 100 workout program, but doing it ALONG with another program!! WHAT. She is amazing and I am so proud of her, and I feel honored to know that I helped her get started on this journey.
I love inspiring y'all. But above all, I want to inspire you to TAKE ACTION. Obviously, as Caitlin has proved, I am not a special unicorn snowflake! YOU can do this along with us!! YOU can inspire others on your own journey! I believe in you, and I am here when you are ready to take that step! I am always just a message or comment away, so don't be shy! 💕
Back on my swim again
So Monday I wanted to end the year on a strong note. I got up early, packed up my gear, and drove the 45 minutes to my gym to get in my swim. Once I got there, I was greeted by an empty parking lot & a sign that said they would be closed all day on New Year’s Day.
Sigh... but at least I tried, right?
So Tuesday I ate a bunch of junk food & didn’t work out because.... you know... holiday calories don’t count.... :D
On Thursday, me and 3/4th of the American population hit the gym. Again, I got up early, drove the 45 minutes to my gym to get in a swim. Once I got there, I was greeted by an incredibly packed parking lot, and I made my way to the swimming pool. The manager was outside and informed me that their lifeguard had called in sick, and so she couldn’t open the pool. I was wearing my flip-flops, and the only other shoes I had with me were my dress shoes for work. Sigh.
There is another gym that’s much closer to my house, but I had an annual membership at the other one from before we moved. But twice in one week is just too much of a time sink. So yesterday afternoon, I went & signed up for an annual membership at a gym that’s two blocks from my house.
This morning I got in & got my swim on, although I did have to cut it a bit short once I realized I forgot my water bottle and I felt the chlorine churning in my stomach. But since exercise is more about self-discipline than anything else, I’m calling this week a success, even if it took my 3 tries to finally got the New Year started “right.”

Day #28 - Progress, Actual Fucking Progress
Woke up at 174.2 this morning and 172.2 yesterday. Shit’s starting to happen.
What’s up everyone?? It’s been a little bit since I posted my “daily” journal but I wanted to talk to for a second. The past two weeks I have genuinely been trying to be more disciplined (thank fucking god for Halo Top amirite). Again like I said in my last post, self control only gets stronger when you exercise it. It’s honestly just like every other muscle in your body. Lately I have been trying to form habits to actually help me in this. One of my BIGGEST problems is late-night snacking so around 9ish I will drink 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with water. Not necessarily because I think it has magical fucking powers or will cure cancer (which is actually has been known to fight) but mostly because I am able to tell myself “SELF! Once you have that A.C.V. you can’t snack on anything after!”. It has really been helping drop a few lbs.
So I guess the main take away of this is to be aware of habits that you have created for yourself and do what you can form new, better ones. If you are fortunate enough to be able to self aware and notice what you are doing wrong then you can take a step back and figure out how to alter it. Not the easiest thing in the world but IT CAN BE DONE.

Day 7 ✓
YAS
I’m a week in! I can’t believe it. And today I worked out for half an hour. I’m tempted to do a little more tonight. We’ll see we’ll see.
I’ll be going for a walk now and enjoy the sun.
My cat was very confused though. He came and sat on my mat and was like ‘what is she doing. why’
Anyways. Nothing beats the way you feel after a workout.
First week DONE! !!
