Broke: L's idea for Matsuda to do a "drunk" walking handstand on the balcony was a needlessly complicated, but unintentionally funny plan to help him escape the Yotsuba group.

Woke: L just told Matsuda to pretend to be drunk and walk off the balcony. Matsuda added the handstand himself because a) top-tier bit commitment, and b) it helped him sell his fake identity. Later, when Matsuda appeared on Sakura TV, Higuchi assumed that "Taro Matsui" was an ex-performer with a stage name and not a detective simply because he was able to do that trick.

Bespoke: It actually was part of L's plan for Matsuda to do a handstand, for a very specific reason. By doing a handstand, Matsuda was able to get a look over at the balcony below him without anyone noticing him glancing down that way. This means that he was able to aim for the mattress before throwing himself off the balcony, and the Yotsuba group was none the wiser. Also, the Latin chanting in the anime was 100 Percent Necessary, too.

i've seen this page drawn with different fandoms so i did some reasearch and found out it's a scene from a funny short comic. it's a suggestive pose/joke so i'm putting it under the cut. i used reference/traced the original.

i don't think namikawa would be this blunt, but people usually put their ship there so forgive me the ooc :P

i did the translation by myself cause i only saw it in korean (i think the og is actually japanese but i couldn't find it? it's popular in korea, you can look this up: 과격한 서양 야동에서 가끔 볼 수 있는 자세)
