Okay babes, I need to tell you a little story about the wonderful human that is Thomas Sanders.
As many of you know, he was recently in a local production of Beauty and the Beast. My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to go to Gainesville and be in the audience of his final performance. The entire cast was phenomenal and it was such a delight! (Honestly, I love Beauty and the Beast and was beyond excited to see it on stage again)
There were a large number of fanders in the audience. It was kind of interesting to be around so many people in merch, to be honest. The great thing was how receptive the audience was. It was clear that we all were enjoying the show and giving love to all of the cast. When the show ended, the cast was kind enough to meet in the lobby.
Now, when I say it was a madhouse, I am being as honest as possible. The whole lobby was flooded with people, many of whom were waiting patiently to see Thomas. Lots of love was also being given to the rest of the cast, something I know for a fact they appreciated. (My husband and I just chatted with cast members for a while because he and I met doing theater.) After about 30 minutes, the theater employees asked us to please move outside of the building so that crew could go home.(at this point, it was around 11PM) Thomas agreed to meet in front of the building (which he absolutely did not have to do but was very much appreciated). Again, everyone kindly listened and moved outside.
This sweetheart of a human stayed for well over an hour to be sure that everyone got a chance to say hello. He signed autographs and took pictures. He listened to stories and kindly offered hugs and smiles. He was very patient with everyone and always asked your name, repeating it back to confirm he had it right.
You guys....this man, this angel of a human, is really just as sweet and kind and caring as you would want him to be. I got so caught up in the moment watching him greet all these kiddos and the genuine interactions that my brain was too warm and fuzzy to think straight. I am still glowing just from our short interaction.
Please know that he really does see the wonderful things that goes on in this community and he really does care. I know this was a long story for a short message, but just know..he really is that wonderful. He really does care about everyone who supports him. It is our job to continue to protect this wonderful bean and all who surround him. Keep spreading joy and acceptance.
Love y’all!
