SAME, like-- the old marrieds of it all but also, of course they know each other, of course they know what they do and like and think, of course they sound like they've been arguing about sleeping late and leon's screentime and, "come on, connor, just a little sauce, you'll be fine," for ten years, of course they're eating pre- and post- game meals together, of course leon knows connor did cross country so track is a reasonable answer, right, and of course connor's a little offended that leon got it """wrong""" and of course they bitched at each other about it later, half-laughing and half-checking--'you do know me, right? you know who i am, you know all of me'--leon groaning and contrite, half-apologizing bc he knows connor, he KNOWS connor, in every way that counts, "you know i still get nervous when they ask me stuff and i just-- forget everything, i forget my english," even though of course connor isn't really hurt, isn't mad at all, just-- and connor hums and tugs at leon's beard, "didn't forget your canadian accent though, pasta" and "shut up, it's your fault" and another argument they've been having on and off for ten years that really means i love you so much i've made your sounds my sounds and i love you so much you sound like home to me no matter how you say it
