If itβs not to much trouble,, could you maybe do something for a playdate between Hulk and reader? I love Hulk so much I think he deserves to have someone to play with,,, always being yelled at n stuff
(to clarify: I mean Hulk not Banner)
It's not too much trouble at all and sorry it took so long to get out!
Thank you so much for sending in this amazing idea, I couldn't have said it better myself!! Hulk really does deserve fwens and to just get to be smol. He's super misunderstood β€β€
Thanks to this request, I'm now convinced it's thanks to babey!Y/N that they figured out the whole Hulk lullaby thing. It's canon now and nobody can convince me otherwise! π
This request has two parts.
1. "Besties" - The play date drabble.
2. "The Sad Sushi Roll 'nitiative" is a bonus scene because I ended up with a scene in my head about how these play dates came to happen (AKA babey reader tells the silly grown ups that they are being silly and has a much better idea π) and I didn't know what to do with it so here you go π€·ββοΈ.
They both have their own warnings sections so please see them separately.
As always though, feel free to insert your own baby talk style π
I hope this is what you were after and that you all enjoy it!
Warnings: So fluffy. Babey being bounced by ground shaking (cus Hulky bouncing). Hulky gets the happy wiggles. Playing dress up. Crafts (macaroni/toilet roll middle neclaces). Sitting on Hulky's shoulder. Brief/barely there moment of insecurity from Hulky. Sounding out words together. Using Hulky's arm as a slide. Hulky is a little ticklish. Costumes (alien) falling on reader. I think that's everything but if you want anything else tagging please let me know!

'I love it!' You beamed as Hulky carefully placed the macaroni necklace over your head. He was super, super gentle and he settled it on your shoulders just right. 'You dids such a good job, Hulky! Thank you!'
He gave a big smile back and did a happy wiggle that made the ground shake. Today's playdate had started with crafts and he had worked super hard decorating what he had made for you, especially so because macaronis were so very fragile. ''Kay, 'kay, I give you yours,' you said excitedly, your own creation just hidden out of view.
At your signal he lifted you up in one hand so that you could do as he had with you. You placed the necklace you had made for him out of [decorated however you like] toilet roll middles over his head as best you could, him helping you where you couldn't quite reach. When you had rearranged it so that the jar lid rested in the centre of his chest, he tried to read the word written on it upside-down.
'What say?' He said, moving his head this way and that, accidentally swaying you from side to side and making you giggle.
'Hulky!' You squealed and with a giggle of his own he put you on his shoulder.
Holding up the jar lid, you sounded out the word together. 'B-E-S-T-I-E.'
'Beasty?' Hulky asked, confused.
'No, not beasty. Hulky not beasty,' you reassured him, 'Hulky my bestie. That short for best friend.'
Hulky thought about that for a moment with a warm little smile on his face.
'Hulky [pet name] favourite friend?'
'[Pet name] also Hulky bestie.'
Snuggling in to Hulky's hair, one big hand cradled you against him.
'So, what you wanna do next?' You asked, sliding down his arm with a big, 'weeeeeeeeeee!'
Hulky laughed really hard at that, he was surprisingly ticklish!
'Dress up!' Hulky cried, standing up and doing a dance that made you bounce on the floor like it was a bouncy castle. It was lots of fun!
Once Hulky had got a couple of sets of clothes that just belonged to him, clothes got to be one of his favourite things. Making designs for new ones [what clothes would you design together?] was another craft activity you did together all the time and it wasn't uncommon for the floor to be covered in drawings by the time you were both done!
It also meant that dress up had become Hulky's favourites game ever and if given the choice he would always ask to play it first.
There were a couple of chests in the corner, a smaller one for you and shipping container sized one for Hulky.
Even though Hulky was super excited and could run super fast he kept to your human babey pace as you both made your way over to your dress up boxes. 'Hulky run if he want to. I catch up,' you said but Hulky shook his head.
Once you got to your boxes it wasn't long before all chaos broke loose!
The pair of you tore through your collection of outfits looking for just what you wanted and in no time at all the floor was more costume than floor, the air more giggles and squeals than air!
'Ahhhhh, it got me!' You cried, playing at being stuck when Hulky's alien outfit landed on top of you.
'Hulky rescue Bestie!' He cried back and made a big spectacle of wrestling the costume off of you. Throwing the alien back in the box and closing the lid, he turned to the disarray around you and both of you started picking around for the costume you wanted most [pick your own costume!].
As usually happened with Hulky, he got so excited that he wanted to wear them all at once! By the time he had finished he was wearing a shiny crown, a pirate's eye patch, fairy wings, his Buzz Lightyear top, a ballerina tutu, doggie trousers and dinosaur feet!
He looked very proud of his ensemble as you were of yours. You gave each other a twirl and complimented how well the other had done in putting their own costume together, helping make more decisions about accessories and things you wanted to change.
When you were both totally happy with your costumes, Hulky looked down at you.
'Played Hulky game. Now play bestie game.'
You though about that for a moment. 'Bestie game!' Hulky said again with another excited, ground shaking wiggle.
'Oh, oh! I wanna [what do you want to do?]!'
'Yay!' Hulky loved to do that too and picking you up, he put you on his shoulder and raced over to [activity area].
It was always super fun being run around on Hulky's shoulder but play dates with Hulky were super fun anyway.
And you had a lot more playdates to come!
BONUS SCENE - The Sad Sushi Roll 'nitiative:
A/N: The sad sushi roll business is a reference to this how to take care of a sad person guide but babeyfied lol.
Warnings: Tiniest 'venger vibes. "Little ones" used. Mentions of "the grown ups" (meaning the avengers team) talking about measures to deal with the Hulk when he "gets cranky" - none mentioned. Babey gets annoyed and makes a better plan (mentions of yelling, big bangs and the Hulk's "timeout tank"). Brief sulking. Very brief worry that in trouble (is not). Chats with Bruce and Fury. Mentions of bumped heads. Good things happen. I think that's everything but if you want anything tagging let me know.
πππππππππππππππππ
Truth be told had anybody seen the Hulk mid playdate with The Avengers resident babey a few weeks ago nobody would have quite believed it.
All the grown ups had been talking, worrying more exactly, about what might happen the next time the Hulk got cranky. Even Bruce was thinking up more and more drastic measures and "just in case"s.
You had been drawing while they had all been talking but the more talking they did the grumpier you got until you just couldn't hold it in any more.
"Is it s'prising he cranky?' You eventually piped up and everyone was so taken aback by the outburst that they all stopped talking. 'If everyone mean to you, yell at you all the time, you be cranky too! He no a monster, he a sad 'lil sushi roll! He no need yelling and big bangs and time out tanks, he need blankies and naps and playdates! It no rocket smience!'
And off you had huffed, slamming what you had been drawing down on the table.
The Sad Sushi Roll 'nitiative.
A little while passed while you went off to sulk but then Bruce came to talk to you.
'Don't worry, you're not in trouble,' Bruce had reassured you when you found out that Director Fury had asked to see you but you had to admit, you hadn't been entirely convinced.
'But I didn't use my manners.'
Bruce had given you a thoughful smile.
'Well, maybe we haven't been using our ears,' he said.
When the door opened to Director Fury's office, Bruce came in with you. Fury was already standing in front of his desk with a file in his hand.
'I've been reading your report,' he said.
Taking out your drawing, he held it up to you before putting it back in the file and glancing over it again.
'It's very progressive some might say inspired,' he paused before explaining, 'that's grown up for "much, much smarter than most people on my payroll".'
The barely there smirk he gave as he glanced your way began to put you at your ease and you couldn't help but giggle at the complement. 'The Hulk has always been very protective of you, hasn't he?'
'Yuh. He tooked care of me when I bumped my head once...and then he got my [toy] down from a tree that time...'
'And he doesn't scare you?'
'Can I ask why that is? Why he doesn't scare you when he scares some of my best agents?'
'He babey. And babeys just get other babeys, I guess. Grown ups are scared of things that's bigger and stronger than them, 'specially if they don't 'nderstand it. But on the inside Hulky smol as me.'
Fury paused and smiled, taking you in for a moment before addressing both you and Bruce.
'This is what I like about little ones. Just plain honest.'
Placing the file down on the desk, Fury walked towards you. When he reached you he pulled something out of his pocket and held it out towards you.
It was a S.H.I.E.L.D badge with your [name/pet name] and your [photo/avatar/picrew/whatever you prefer]. 'I have a mission for you, Agent [Pet name]. Do you accept the role of Lead Agent on The Sad Sushi Roll 'nitiative?'
