I've been on and off Tumblr for the past few years. I made this blog in 2018 (?) (and had an old blog from circa 2014, maybe, that I deleted a while ago).
Some of you may know me from my one post a while agoāa story I did from a writing prompt titled "She Took the Midnight Train Goin' Anywhere."
Here is an old masterlist of some of the stories I've posted on here.
Here is a new one.
Everything else is below the cut.
Name: Sterling Blue, but just call me Blue.
Pronouns: They/She, with preference toward They/Them pronouns.
Age: Too old to be dealing with you rascals
Some More About Me: I graduated from college! Twice! I have two Bachelor's (one in ELA Education and one in English, with a minor in Creative Writing) and a Master's in English. Hoorah! I am currently on the path to moving out of the country to teach overseas.
WIPs:
Distant Dreams (a middle grade graphic novel, the first in a series, looking for an illustrator)
Casey, Preston, and Zara are just ordinary kids when narcoleptic Aurora comes bursting into their lives via teleportation. They think this is their chance to escape The Frozen Land and reach freedom in The Sunny Place across The Mountains, but Aurora has yet to master her powersāand with monsters around every corner and random bouts of teleportation taking them to the worst possible locations, it doesnāt seem likely that Aurora will have the chance to learn any time soon.
The Sea Witch and Her Curse (a young adult graphic novel, standalone)
After Alcinaās family is murdered in front of her, an old sea witch takes her to be trained into becoming a sea witch herself. With the sea princes in-fighting over who will become the next king, witches are used as the main line of fighting in these battles and war. But there are dark secrets lurking in these waters, and Alcina wants to figure them out.
Like Clockwork (upper YA novel, working on a second draft, standalone)
Kilo never got to practice magic like everyone else growing up, but he has his chance now. Starting his second summer at Magix turns out to be a bit different this year, thoughābecause, before he even enters the base, a high-level Magix supervisor is murdered right behind him. A killer is on the move, and no one has even seen them. As the bodies begin to pile up, Kilo takes on the burden of finding the mysterious killer, but he only has so much timeāand time's running out.
The Life of Octo (WEBTOON or graphic novel, looking for an illustrator)
Octo works at a cafe in an aquarium. They go about their days selling coffee, burning cookies, having deep talks with their manager Goffee, and accidentally flirting with the FBI agent, Kat, trying to solve the mystery of the city-wide blackouts that appear at least once a month. Besides that, though, there isn't much to their life. Definitely.
Writing On
A collection of short stories.
There are others, but these are the main ones I've been bouncing through for a while now. Like, comment, reblog, have fun, and let me know if I should follow you!
Allow me to demonstrate. I am not a visual artist, but I will attempt to communicate my point. If any actual visual artists would like to improve upon this, please feel free.
Hello and welcome to my writing grove, where the birds are always dancing up in the trees, and the forest is full of stories if you listen closely! Iām Solveiga (she/her), a European-based folk horror writer, in my late twenties. This space is where I ramble about my WIPs and writing projects, discuss Lithuanian mythology and folklore, and I also love chatting with others about their stories, too!
āøŗtekÄk, saulele, anksti rytelÄÆ.
Iāve been writing for about seven years now, and I mostly write horror and folklore-inspired stories. I genuinely love, love, love to read and I read a lot, across pretty much every genre. Some of my favourites are horror, mysteries and detectives.
Lithuanian language is my native language, and I'm happy to be able to share more of our culture with the others. You can always ask me any questions that you might have. I'm always happy to be of help.
Favourite horror movies: Rocky Horror Picture Show, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Ready or Not, The Evil Dead, Misery, Ginger Snaps, Fright Night, House on Haunted Hill, 28 Days Later, The Cabin in the Woods, It Follows, Southbound.
Some of my favourite fictional characters are: Frank N Furter (RHPS), Grace (Ready or Not), Ash Williams (Evil Dead), Jane Hudson (WEHTBJ?), Debbie Jelinsky (Addams Family), Annabelle Loren (House on Haunted Hill), Annie Wilkes (Misery), Prue Halliwell (Charmed), Lilly Rush (Cold Case).
I enjoy taking walks, exploring weird corners of history and collecting fun linguistics facts. As well I'm a huge tea lover (and Earl Grey is my love).
I don't really like thunderstorms, but I tend to write about them a lot.
āøŗprisimink kaip Å”okom valsÄ , autobusų stotelÄj.
Found family, platonic love, and complex sibling relationships is mostly what I write about. I hold these themes close to my heart.
Grief, abandonment wound and intergenerational trauma also play a big role in my stories.
I can go on for hours describing nature, especially autumn and spring settings, which are also my favourite seasons.
While I adore writing horror and darker themes, I like my stories to have happy endings, with characters still having some hope left.
Ask and tag game friendly. Conversations and chatting are always welcome!

Ok, it's taken me SIX YEARS to make this. But I did it! It's done! Please watch it!
It's my first animation project, which is why it took so long. I had to learn to animate to make it. It's only a bit over 2 minutes, but I made it the best I possibly could. Please please please watch it. I am so proud of it.
It's a trailer for my first novel- a late YA scifi/superhero book.
Is it absurd to make a fully animated book "trailer" for a book that's been out for 6 years, with voice acting and commissioned music (by the fantastic @plottwiststudios) ? I mean yes. Of course. I'm not even doing this for real marketing purposes because this is a ridiculous thing to do. I don't even really think it'll sell books but the process of making it made me really really happy.
But I love my fictional disaster queers, and I love my book, and when I was a kid I thought I'd grow up to be an animator. I've always loved animation, and I was really, really happy to make something animated myself. I'm really proud of how it turned out.
No AI used.
Please watch it. Please share it.
If it does make you actually want to read the story, you can see all the buying options for ebook, paperback, and audiobook.
I start my next animation project- a fake anime opening credits for book 3 in this series, starting next month.
Anybody who wants to can repost this to Instagram or TicTok btw. All I ask is that you leave the whole thing intact- credits included, and tell me if it got views. I don't want to deal with those platforms but I just want people to see what I made.
Check out my long-running, 500+ page long comic, BACKLASH!

The universe is full of life. Planets, stars, even black holes are sentient, living organisms, capable of thought and emotion like any other creature. Celestials move through the galaxies capable of unimaginable feats, ancient and god-like power their birthright, while mortals can only pray they do not catch the attention of such beings.
Laura āLeadfootā is a young woman on a mission. Famous Celestials ā including Jupiter and Mars ā have vanished from the Sol System, and she feels itās her duty to learn what happened to them.
On an unfamiliar planet and being hunted by two of the most powerful individuals on it ā one a Black Hole, the other the King of the Criminal Underworld ā Leadfoot seeks sanctuary with a strange group of people who work for a Witch. This Witch claims to be able to grant any wish ā for the right price.

modern Snow White where instead of a magic mirror it's just an AI chatbot driving the stepmother insane because it's programmed to agree with her and confirm her fears
THERE'S VIOLENCE! AND RUINS! AND VIOLENCE! AND EVIL MAGIC! AND VIOLENCE! AND A GOD-TWINK! I'm not kidding about the violence. I write horror primarily and you can tell.

Usually i don't make pinned posts, but as i'm getting more active on writblr, i figure it's needed.
My name is Kamarie and I enjoy writing/world building/character creation. Most of you probably know me through my fanfic, but i'm an avid original writer.

I am looking for writblr connections and fellow indie original writers!
