Tbh my main takeaway from D20: On a Bus is that a completely improvised DND season would go hard as fuck.

The DM comes in with no plan, the characters are randomly generated at the table, and the whole group has to collaboratively figure out the story and themes as they go. Bonus points if everyone gets to trade off DMing as they did in OAB.
